After having been there several times for lunch and dinner this is the place I would recommend in Abergavenny. Do phone in advance because even with the new extension it's not easy to get a table on short notice.

I have visited the Hardwick several times over the past few months and every time has been better than the last. The food is outstanding and an evident sing of a truly talented chef. The restaurant is warm and cosy and the staff are very accommodating and polite. All in all a very positive experience

Stephen Terry's eclectic menu combines British and European cooking, using the best of local ingredients. The Hardwick has established a first-class reputation in a remarkably short time.

good choice on the extensive menu. well presented with great service to match. The sweets are to die for . the chocolate brownie with triple choc home made ice cream is a must. A very good all round eating out experience at any time.
