Old Sessions House
Overlooking historic Canute Square, the Old Sessions House is a bustling market town tavern in the heart of Knutsford. The pub has been given a new lease of life by the New Moon Co, which has culinary genius David Mooney and hospitality veteran Paul Newman at the helm. David worked with both Raymond Blanc and Marco Pierre White before spearheading the success of Cheshire favourites like the Belle Epoque in Knutsford, the Duke of Portland in Lach Dennis, and the George & Dragon in Tarvin. Paul is a restaurant operator with a proven track record with both Living Ventures and latterly the award-winning Residence in Nantwich. At the Old Sessions House, food is sourced responsibly from all over the northwest with a choice of daily specials as well as the full a la carte offering. Cask ales are a passion here with choices rotated on a regular basis whilst many of the choices on the eclectic wine list are available by the glass as well as the bottle and served with cocktail bar professionalism. Casa Matta at Weaverham, near Northwich, the Lord Binning at Kelsall and The Montgomery on the Wirral Mockingbird Taproom in Cheshire and Beef & Pudding in Manchester and The Old Blind School in Liverpool, Bronx Bar in Knutsford are sister venues.
