Contrary to the previous review, I found the quality of the food to be up to the standard of top city centre restaurant and this was reflected in the price. The atmosphere on the Friday night we went was extremely laid back and efficient. The food portions were much larger than you would get from the city centre restaurants and the wine list though not long, was full of variety. For a four-course meal with wine the price is around £30-40 a head. The main meals come in around £10-15 each. In my opinion this restaurant out did any others that Marple has to offer.
Edge, The
a very plesant restaurant at first sight. The cosy interior enhancing the atmosphere. The food although pricy, was excellent.
The staff were pleasant enough, although in the hustle of a saturday night forgot the little things that are nessacary with good service.
Overall a gratifying, friendly restaurant, although me and my family agree that some improvements are needed to bring the restaurant up to scratch with its competing restaurants, that Marple brings.
