We had a fantastic meal at the Red Fort on Thursday 3 March 2011. This is a beautiful place and I'd like to recommend it to all Sugarvine devotees. We did not know what to expect in Keswick as we are from Manchester and used to Manchester curry houses! But this was lovely.
First a word about the decor, it has a stunning carved wooden panel ceiling with a tent effect centre and a large chandelier. The same carved panels decorate the walls. They make the restaurant very comfortable and romantic!
For starters we had poppadoms and chutneys, these were lovely, very fresh and there were large helpings of minty yogurt sauce, mango chutney and lime pickle. We followed with seikh kebab and a king prawn butterfly; they both came with some salad and were very delicious and served nice and hot.
For our main course we had a lamb madras, and a chicken badame accompanied by rice and chips. They were both nice big helpings and tasted great. We liked the service which was good and the background music gave the whole meal a relaxing feel.
We thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. 5 Stars highly recommended!

Went to the red fort take away next door (part of the restaurant) and have got to say it is THE worst takeaway food we've ever had. The kebab meat was dry and possibly not cooked properly and the veg pizza was made of carrots peas green beans etc - and tasted of curry! Ofh, and a 30 minute wait for the privilidge. Avoid!

This is delicious Indian food with an interesting menu (though the more unusual dishes are a little pricey). Nice surroundings and good service too.
