What a delight to find a place that caters for all. Food was great, much more than you would expect from a normal freehouse, the building itself was beautiful and very tastefully renovated. We asked to see the rooms and were very impressed with the sumptuous attention to detail and beautiful decor, very contemporary, but comfortable at the same time. We will be stopping off here again soon.
Location is great for a night whilst travelling somewhere else, just off the A30.
Would highly recommend.

We stopped and ate hear on 29 august 2008 whilst driving down to helford from Devon, we had read a good review in Alasdair Sawdays pub guide. I totally agree with the guides review - we had a very good meal with our 2 children in a spacious, airy and modern environment, it was a shame the weather was dreadful (like the whole of summer)as the outside space looked great for alfresco dining. I would stop off here again and possibly even stay as the rooms looked very promising too.

Superb! We stopped off as (in Britain there really aren't many places still serving food after 2pm) and spent ages deciding on our choice. The menu incorporates some fabulous combinations of food and finally decided!
Friendly staff, ok we waited some while but it was utterly worth it! Would totally recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Stopped for lunch, this place is just off the A30. Mitchell is very pretty the houses are beautiful. I liked the restaurant decor there is really high art on the walls. I opted for the special of Fish Stew with Toasted ciabatta and aioli £8 Big serving of excellent saffron infused consommé with huge cuts of different fish, I spotted Tuna,Bass,John Dory,Cod, but there were two more I couldn? identify. Excellent.
