The pub itself is in a great location with excellent beer garden to the side and rear. The interior is clean and modern and of course has the usual trappings of a modern drinking place with large screen TVs and music.
The food is good and is your usual pub fayre but unfortunately it seems a lot of it comes from Brakes rather than being home cooked which is a shame. There is a very good choice of foods though from your lunchtime bar snacks - sandwiches, jacket potatoes and Ploughmans through to burgers, pizzas, fish & chips, curries, pasta and roasts.
In my opinion I think the prices are a bit steep for some of the dishes i.e. those which are obviously ones which have come ready made and just need heating up and garnishing but overall there is a good choice for adults and kids. Warning: does get very busy in the summer and food is not served all day.
Britannia Inn
Lovely staff, food was nice but landlord Phil spoke too much.
