The Gurkha Buffet Restaurant is part of Blackpool’s Alpine Hotel and is owned by two former Gurkha soldiers who served in the British army. Although the restaurant is Nepalese, it also has Gurkha (Nepalese), Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, Singaporean and some English dishes. These are served in buffet style with at any one time 25-35 dishes to choose from out of a total of 150 options. The Gurkha Buffet is open for dinner every day and you can eat as much as you like from starters, soups, salads and mains for as little as £10.45 (£4.95 for children up to 8 years old). Takeaway also available. The Gurkha Buffet is convenient for both Bloomfield Road football stadium and the Pleasure Beach.

Call 01253344292 Available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday brilliant, had such a wonderful time, great service from staff very kind. always look forwards to eating here xx Miss Hannah we all went for a family meal. it was very nice very friendly and good value,I enjoyed myself very much as did the rest of my family .we are going again on wednesday 28th dec Jac The Ghurka was recommended to me on a trip to Blackpool. It was a fantastic value for money experience. There was a wide choice of foods all of a excellent quality (not stewing away as they are in some buffet restaurants) and the service and friendliness of the staff was second to none. I sampled quite a few of the dishes on offer but was full well before I ran out of choice. A word of warning though. The Ghurka lamb curry, which was labelled as 'very hot', really is very hot. Not to be sampled by Korma lovers like me Phil Manastey , I have been to the restaurant lot of times and enjoy everything about it, the food and friendly service is exceptional and to those who haven't tried it you're missing out on a great experience as well as great food. It is very cosy and comfortable the interior is nice with authentic Gurkha land stuff.. I recommend trying a small to medium sized plate from the starter part, especially the chicken satay. I tried the mild gurkha curry and the hot one. The spicy potato Aloo Dum thing they do as well is really tasty. All in all this is great value for money, only a tenner so you can't find better value for miles. I highly recommend this place for informal birthdays and a mid week fill. The owner is a gurkha as well so don't mess! The Fine Diner Thanx Bimla for making our dining a fine experience Roshan Nair i have been here a lot of times and enjoy everything about it, the food and friendly service is exceptional and to those who haven't tried it you're missing out on a great experience as well as great food.
