We have been here numerous times and found the food excellent. The staff are more than willing to give you advise on the food. The prices are very reasonable. If you visit Horwich, this is the place to try.

Found the Halay by chance one lunch time, with a colleague, and were the only diners. What a mistake by everyone else! The food was wonderful, and the service ( not surprisingly) excellent. Everything was fresh, hot, where wanted, and stunningly authentic. Lovely people who deserve to succeed. Am booking now for a birthday party.

Halay is a hidden gem in the centre of Horwich. Excellent food, authentic flavours at reasonable prices, this restaurant surpassed our expectations. AND you can order as takeaway if you wish.
Definitely give this one a try!

Went to Halay last night for the first time. I have been meaning to go for a while, but we have such a selection of places in Horwich I never got round to it. So pleased to have gone, the ambience and the staff are great and the food it superb. I had the Lamb Shish, which was good quality and perfectly cooked, hubby had the king prawns with Chilli and Garlic that was really good. Had the Organce Creme Brulee for afters, yum yum. Service is relaxed, but I'm happy to have a laid back meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited Halay on Friday evening, having meaning to visit for ages. We had a fantastic meal. The mixed grill to share was absolutely delicious, the houmous was the best ever and the house red was very drinkable. We finished off with a lovely home made creme brulee which was fabulous- a good, thick crunchy top and a wickedly thick (almost like clotted cream) layer underneath. We will definitely be returning to sample some of the other dishes and have the creme brulee again!

I arranged my friend's Hen Night last Saturday (06.11.2010) at HaLay. There were 22 of us and we had the best night ever. The food was fantastic, service superb and a belly dancer was also arranged for us which made the night. All the girls had a fabulous time belly dancing. I would definitely recommend HaLay, the restaurant itself is lovely and Hal and Maureen are great hosts.

Went last night for the first time. Was very dubious as there was only one other group in, but then again it was Sunday night! Shouldn't of worried, this place blows the socks of all the other places in Horwich, and we've tried them all!! Food was outstanding, super clean and tables that don't touch each other, which makes a refreshing change. The couple that run this place are great people, don't rush you, they just want you to enjoy your evening. We sat talking to them for about an hour afterwards and they are really nice genuine people. Will be back for more, especially the Turkish night with the belly dancer!
