We love the raj! Really tasty curries with an excellent selection for all tastes. The staff are extremely friendly and the previous reviewer will be pleased to hear that the restaurant and the toilets have had a full refurb!

High class cooking in low class surroundings! The waiters are friendly and attentive and the specials are great. Take your own wine or cans which is an added bonus, so no hefty drink tab racking up the bill! Top marks

The Raj is great for a reasonably priced meal out. You take in your own alcoholic drinks, if you wish. It's busy towards the weekend, so don't expect to walk straight in, but early in the week it's no problem. I always feel the lighting could do with being rather better - I like to enjoy the look of what I'm eating as well as tasting it. Also, the ladies' loo could do with a bit of attention - doesn't always look like a cleaner has been in that day.
