The Farsyde is easy to miss in Ilkley but worth making a special trip for. I have never heard a bad thing said about this place, the early bird menu is great value and the service is second to none - you never feel like you are getting shoved out to make room for the next lot which makes for a very relaxed leisurely atmosphere. Make sure you try the sun dried tomato bread....
disappointed diners
We have just returned from this restaurant and to be honest it was the worst dining expeience we have had for some time. We have eaten in some great restaurants in the North and know what to expect when paying these prices. This meal was poor to say the least and we had to complain. Although the complaint was dealt with relatively well, this did not make up for poorly cooked pasta and underdone duck.
Overall, in our opinion, shocking for the price.

This place never fails to disappoint. From the friendly & professional Maitre d to the knowledgeable bar man & super efficient waitresses the staff are excellent. The food is superb & very well priced. Its seems to be frequented by older clientele & we have rarely seen anyone under 40 in there although we cannot understand why. Make sure you book! I took my mum for lunch & we were very disappointed & surprised to find that they are fully booked even for Lunch!! top place - keep up the good work people!

I visited the Farsyde on a friends recommendation and cannot praise it Highly enough. My wife and I had the early bird menu 2 courses plus coffee for £13.95. There were 5 choices for each course and it was a difficult choice, but we were both delighted with every aspect of the meal. We?l certainly be crossing to the Farsyde again
