Ate here Friday 23 April 2010 with my wife. I opted for Pigeon Pie but no pigeons !!! So I was offered squirrel as an alternative !! The pie was excellent, served with roast, mash, vegetables and a large jug of gravy. Squirrel actually tastes similar to rabbit. My wife had the mixed grill, steak, gammon, pork, sausage, salad and a scary amount of chips!!. The meal would have fed my wife three times over !! Excellent food, not expensive, cosy dining room, lovely pub situated just out of the centre not far from Fossgate. Highly recommended !!!
