We decided to eat here one Sunday lunch time and it has got to be the worst place we have ever eaten. Starters were Mushrooms stuffed with cheese and ciabatta bread-this came out as 4 mushrooms in a soup bowl with what tasted like mushroom soup with it and half a tea-cake. My husband ordered Fish chips and peas, the fish was overcooked and I ordered Lasagne with side salad and garlic bread. My Lasagne was in a separate dish and was burnt on the top with crusted black cheese round the sides; it was obvious it had been just put in the oven on high as the middle was cold and it looked like the previous days leftovers. The garlic bread was half a tea-cake, deep-fried with garlic on top and was dripping in fat. The best part was that a member of staff and her friend came and sat beside us with Lasagne and chips, and there’s looked gorgeous not like mine. I was unable to eat most of my meal and when my husband complained they did give our main meals free of charge without any quibble. For a first impression of this place we will definitely not go back again as it has to be the worst meal we have ever had.
Brown Cow Inn, The
I have eaten several times at the Brown Cow Inn, and have not been disappointed once. I can highly recommend the fillet steak with pepper sauce, delicious. But there are so many scrumptious things to choose from, don't stop at the steak!
