This small informal restaurant is well worth a visit by anyone who enjoys good food and wine. The food, wine and service were all excellent. I agree that the Oyster Rockefeller is to die for. This has to be one of the best eating places in Bradford!

We went here yesterday (14/10/07). I walked up to the woman behind the bar and was ignored for 30/40 seconds. No acknowledgement at all. When I asked if they had a children's menu, I was informed that they did. At that point I invited my wife, son and two friends all to enter the restaurant. Two waitresses both asked if we were being attended to, but neither obviously communicated with one another as we were left to stand. Eventually I asked if there was a spare table as we hadn't booked and were then sat down. We asked for a menu, and the waitress proceeded to read off 3 starters and 1 main dish with a choice of 3 meats! Glad I'm not a vegetarian. Unbelievably there was no printed menu, and therefore no way of knowing how much any of this was going to cost. We asked the waitress for a break to decide, and at that point we left the restaurant. I'm baffled as whether this restaurant is the same as the next most recent posting here? It is in the Hare and Hounds?

Really nice restaurant and the food is to die for! Oyster Rockefeller is the chefs speciality and I would recommend going there just for that - let alone the main courses! The restaurant is great for people who like a bit of quirkiness to their dinners. The restaurant is cordoned off the main pub by a curtain - so it was a bit rowdy with disco music blaring out on the Saturday night we were there. That said, the wine menu made up for it! It? a great restaurant to go to if you are looking for something a bit more informal in ambience, but formal in terms of food and service. p.s - the person who said it was only street parking - there is a huge car park! (unless you were referring to the New Gable Inn before it moved into the Hare and Hounds)

This small restaurant serves good English food but is a little on the pricey side. Parking is on street only. The staff are polite and efficient. The restaurant is well worth a visit.

All time favourite with myself and friends. Definitlely recommend. Try it at least once.
