This is not a recommendation. This is a complaint about The Crown Hotel in Boston Spa. We had the unfortunate experience of staying there for one night in April. The room was absolutely filthy, it stank of cigarette smoke, there was "furry" dirt on the kettle (no cups, tea or coffee etc - just a kettle and 2 saucers). They had the cheek to charge £60 for this disgusing, dirty room and the landlady suddenly went missing when it was time to pay, as she knew she had booked us into what were no more than DSS lodgings. Don't book into here!
