The previous review of this bar have left me astounded; if I wasn't sitting clutching my nauseous stomach, I might literally have staggered.
Yes dear reader, I fear this will be a tale of woe. The One star rating given to Andersons is purely default, would that I could award less.
From the moment of arrival things looked bleak, a dismally small lunchtime crowd, and an odour reminiscent of our Student Union days.
The serving staff, by which I mean the one overworked and vaguely incompetent waitress, was over familiar and slovenly.
The food, which arrived 5O MINUTES after us ordering, was frankly, abysmal. Having waited such an eternity for a lunchtime snack, one might be forgiven for expecting a reasonable culinary effort. No.
My chicken burger was artistically presented on a chopping board, sadly the reformed, battered, frozen and deep fried offering didn’t live up to the pretension of the serving method.
My companion’s bbq chicken salad was a packet of garnish leaves topped with a vomit like pile of processed chicken chunks swimming in an unctuous but average bottle sauce. Equally my friend’s steak wrap was average, sadly unwrapped and filled with a less than impressive filling of minute steak, presumably it had been left to rest for 49 minutes.
Lastly we come to drinks, aside from the slow serving; bottled choices can’t really be spoiled. Save for the absence of white wine, in this wine bar, it was unremarkable.
The tables were dirty, the napkins seemed to be collected from local businesses, the floor was sticky.
On a positive note, the chips were ok.

Went to Andersons today, surroundings looked nice enough. I ordered the Rabbit which was the dish of the day.
When it arrived I could not believe it, the portion was tiny you would get more meat in
a Greggs bridie, seriously, it was more like a rabbits foot.
I immediately sent it back without touching it as changed it for the Side of Pork Belly.
When this arrived this too was tiny, i fact I did not know it was there for some time as it was hidden by the sauce jug. On trying to cut it I was unable to with the standard cutlery, on asking for a steak knife which they eventually found I still could not cut parts of it.
They must think serving very small portions makes this a la carte, it does not, also the potatoes were also lumpy.

While out on a work lunch we found ourselves at Andersons. Food was tasty but portions varied. While mine was reasonable, a friends was a lot smaller for the same price. It was ok, but too pricey for what it was. I would go back for a drink one night but not for food. Very busy at lunch.
