It was my birthday last week and ten of us went to Bar Italia for a family celebration. We had a great time. Plenty of choice for the picky eaters among us, reasonable prices and best of all, the lovely friendly waiters who joined in the fun and even brought me a huge slab of complimentary cake and a candle! A mix of ages, we all enjoyed the singalong "Rat Pack" music and happy atmosphere. Won't wait until my next birthday to return.

having regularly dined at bar italia all i can say is the service is fantastic the food is superb and anyone who has a complaint at the end of the evening is just being a down right grouch! everytime i have visited bar italia the food improves and as it was close to perfection the first time round i have no idea how they do this! all i can say is well done x

On 27/7/07, we returned to the Bar Italia as a result of our previous dining experience in February. Excellent food, ambience and service, once again. The staff were great and Franco blew his own trumpet. Our favourite restaurant, now. It was worth travelling the fifty miles.

There was expertise in abundance - nothing more than I would expect from Franco Colangeli. It was a very pleasant evening (17.2.07).

A fantastic place I keep going back to. The staff are so friendly and courteous, and the food is delicious. The cheesecake is to die for, and my boyfriend recommends the tiramisu. I'm looking forward to the next time I get to go there.

Grappalads

Will go back there as often as possible. The people there do not only make you feel welcome, they make you feel wanted and at home. Even though the food is served extremely quick, it tastes superb. The size of the portions and the quality of the ingredients could easily defend a higher price. The starters and desserts are heavenly, and even the Grappa isn't that bad:-) Thanks to all the staff for giving us not just a couple of meals, but an experience to remember.
