The lunchtime menu offers soup or garlic bread for a starter and a large selection of pasta or pizza dishes. Food tastes lovely and fresh and you get huge portions! You also get coffee and all for £6.95. Why did it take me so long to find this fab place? I can't wait to go back.

I am fairly new to Liverpool and have tried different restaurants and this is my favourite for good, well priced food and none of the chain pretensions with genuinely friendly staff. The mussels are fab and the calamri the best I have had anywhere.

We've tried & tested lots of city centre Italian restaurants for lunch - though we always go back to Buca Di Bacos. Food is so tasty - the penne arrabiata is the best around....& the garlic bread mmm.

Really poor service, half the menu was unavailable as items were not in stock,no wine bar house wine which didn't taste all that good or fresh . . . . waitress was short/offhand.... no atmosphere / friendliness and food was a 5/10, as for the garlic bread being the best well........

i first went in 2001, love the place, better than all those italian chain restaurants, and yes the garlic bread is nice! good desserts too esp the carrot cake and ice cream cakes.

I can remember going to Buca's ever since I started work in town in 1986 , some say its the best garlic bread in Merseyside I would say in England , you will definitely go back just for that. The atmosphere is superb when there is a large party celebrating an event. Its in my top five of places to eat in Liverpool
