First class service as you would expect from a Michelin restaurant. The Chicken Tikka pie appealed to my northern sensibilities and was gorgeous. The duck to follow wasn't as good but my partner loved her Roe Deer. Gorgeous Ribera Del Duera wine to compliment Indian spices. A real experience for a curry lover.
Jezza
I eat out a lot and was really excited to try Atul Kucher's restaurant as I so liked his TV persona. On the day though I wasn't as impressed as I expected to be. The food is excellent though I suspect the Indian/classic french fusion experiment will soon run its course and the real indian cuisine will win out. I was disappointed by the general dull, quiet ambience and the slightly lacklustre service. For example empty glasses remained on tables, crumbs and other detritus were left between courses and you simply didn't feel special. Compare this to the Gavroche and we're looking at a huge gulf between them. Perhaps we caught them on an off day but if you have a star you can't afford off days.
