Just fabulous. Warm, welcoming, seriously professional and just what you'd like to find in Paris but rarely can - a restaurant true to its colours and to 'gout de terroir d'Angleterre'. Real food and a wine list at the leading-edgewith stunning wines for next to nothing.

There aren't many restaurants you can visit a few times a year, every year for 10 years and say that, if anything it just gets better. Ransome's Dock run by the estimable, Martin Lam, is one of those. Whether you pull up for a remarkably reasonable set lunch or linger longer over their constantly changing- according to seasonal availability - ala carte menu you'll never be disappointed. The legendary wine list has some eclectic bottles but will suit everyone's taste and pocket and includes many in carafe and glass sizes. The riverside setting remains magically unique in S London and there should be a queue outside every day !!

Had a delicious lunch here, very peaceful and friendly environment on the water with excellent service. Incredible but dense wine list, and unpatronising help with our wine choices.Fantastic eel starter and then one of the lightest gnocchis i've ever had. And an unusual, light labneh for desert with intense orange blossom syrup. The food here is delicious and unselfconscious, and it feels the menu is compiled with a love of seasonal British ingredients, as well as the more obvious continental influences.Overall good value and i will definitely be coming back for more.
