After a few drinks nearby we visited the great wall without a booking. It was a Saturday night and not overly busy ( this doesn't instill any confidence in me usually). We ordered our starters and the waiter didn't seem particularly knowledgeable when we asked him some questions. The starters themselves were ok. I had the spring rolls which were cut into very small pieces like it was made to look like the plate had more on. They were a little dry and I have had better in a supermarket ready meal. When the waiter gave us out new cutlery for the mains he practically threw them on the table! Also I didn't like the fact that the rice was served in a big dish. So if 3 people had orders rice then it was all in one dish. The food itself was average. I have had much better for around the same price elsewhere. The decor needed some work. The wall near out table was all marked and chipped and clearly required a tidy up. Overall it was ok, just ok. I wouldn't recommend this and I wouldn't go again. There are much nicer restaurants for the same or cheaper price.
Jom-uk
hmm, not bad appearance, but not so good food. It is pretty much focused on English customers, so not enough taste. Hot sour soup is more sweet and sour. Otherwise original Cantonese duck was nice, but oily - good idea to ask this food warm! For typical UK customers - try it. For rest of world (including China) more taste choice around :-).

Between 12 - 4pm its £4 50 for a 3-course meal and it really is a lovely meal and well worth visiting.
