Wow, Thank you kindly Andy and all the staff at The Antonine Arms. We were recommended to try a meal at The Antonine Arms in Twechar by friends and what can I say? All twelve, we were blown away. Never did we imagine that Homemade Pub food can taste so fine and presented to a very high standard and trust me we have dinned in many pubs and restaurants over the years and this pub was absolutely fantastic. A huge applause must also go to the chefs. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner Andy and his staff..... Really the food was amazing! The atmosphere was perfect! I cannot fault this pub / restaurant and can't wait to go back again. Staff, are very professional and attentive to your needs also notably very friendly to anything you require and nothing seems to faze them or be to much trouble. The food was outstanding, personally I enjoyed to my detriment of being too full to move, from Combos to the perfectly cooked Fish and Chips along with Homemade Steak Pie and superb deserts. More so the bill at the end of the evening was more than fair and great value for money. My mouth still waters to date thinking about it. An excellent menu with so much choice for the customer was also very nice to see. Some members of our group are wine connoisseur and would also highly recommend the wide selection of perfect wines we enjoyed on the eve of our visit. We also had a few friends who notably drink Real Ale and they were chuffed to bits, So much that they left very satisfied and could sincerely understand why this pub has won CAMRA Pub of The Year 2010. Andy and all staff thank you for a most enjoyable evening. You are all a credit to your industry and your service and establishment is 1st class. This new restaurant is great, affordable yet no corners are cut. You feel as though you have had something different than your usual pub fayre, things are done with heart at this place. Not to mention a great stock of drinks from wines to ales, they have it covered.
