This is a funny little place, based on a boat in the middle of the Lakeside Country Club hotel complex in Frimley Green and pretty much hidden out of view, however it serves FABULOUS food and so turned out to be a hidden gem! It has been empty both times we have visited which is so sad as we would hate to see it close when it boats such a wonderful (and different) menu. Perhaps it is busier during the week? Staff very helpful and friendly, house wine superb and food just yummy! (and trust me, my husband is hard to please when it comes to curry, having eaten at two of the top indian restaurants.) Reasonably priced and I would imagine a great venue for large groups too. De worth checking out! :)

as a consultant, i have been doing some traveling around uk and trying different restaurants. i could not get a decent hotel during my client trip at farnborough and have to stay in a pub hotel in front of vikrim kishti. i must say that ambience was brilliant. i asked them to provide me table in the open space of the boat rather than cabin, which was infront of a lovely lake with swans and ducks.. but what truly stunned me was the quality of food.. as a punjabi, i am very fussy about food.. i ordered chicken karahi, chicken makhni and parathy.. everything was superb.. the mangi lassi was not as good as tayyabs of whitechapel though..
trust me if you like good food and willing to travel, its worth every penny going to vikrim from london.
the staff was very friendly also..

Lovely novel setting, friendly and helpful staff, and slightly different Indian cuisine. I can recommend the king prawn puri and the Hyderabadi lamb shank. Meals weren't as spicy as the menu symbols suggested, so let the staff know if you really want a kick.

Definitely one to mark off your list for group bookings. We were the only ones there on Sat 24th May 2008 and will not be going back while the current owners are there. The food was atrocious, cold and cheaply made. The service abysmal and the waiting staff untrained. None of the staff knew the bar prices as they'd just put them up which should have been an indication of the attitude of the owners. They were aggressive and pushy when it came to paying the bill and once paid up they ordered us out so they could close up, it wasn't even 11pm. Miss this one out!
