Excellent service, great atmosphere and setting. The Greek wines are well worth a try - really good quality and good value.

A very friendly family-run restaurant. Previously a simple but good Italian, the sons of the owners have now taken over and have high aspirations - modern Fat Duck style food, with an Italian twist. I would strongly recommend the deconstructed Caesar salad and tiramisu - they will exceed your expectations. The tasting menu is very good value and all meals tend to come with little surprise extras. A real treat for all foodies!

We had a very disappointing meal at Giardino in Clevedon. The fish was far from fresh; the prices very high served on uncomfortable tables with plastic tablecloths and tiny paper napkins. The loo was a disgrace.

My first visit was when they were known as Hathaways. The Sunday lunch we had was excellent, just like home made. I have visited Cobblestones when ever I visit Minehead and the same excellent service is delivered each time. Very friendly. Can't resist the cream teas.

This is a lovely place for a family meal. The food is superb and the service very friendly. A really good evening out.

Very disappointed! the service was slow and not 'with a smile', they were not busy and yet it took 40 minutes to bring us the 3 salads we had ordered. I will never go there again and will advise all my friends and family to do likewise.

We were in Porlock for the wet summer of 2007 but it certainly wasn’t a wash out thanks to finding this little gem of a restaurant in Porlock High Street. Look through the window and you may think it looks slightly tired and dated but the food and service is anything but. We ate there four times and the food was excellent each time. The Chef, who is self taught, knows his stuff and sources food locally and it is fresh and seasonal. I had soft boiled quails eggs on toasted bruschetta as a starter and the eggs were soft and warm and perfectly cooked. The Venison I had for my main course was farmed and I was advised of this when I ordered. I was pleasantly surprised as in my view this made it tastier and far less tough than the wild version. The vegetables were seasonal and not imported from thousands of miles away and what they lacked in uniformity they more than made up for in taste - and anyway who needs every carrot to be the same size. My wife had a crayfish salad to start which she found sweet and plentiful, not the odd one hidden behind the lettuce leaf you find in some restaurants. For her main course she had wild sea bass, again perfectly cooked. I am not a sweet person myself but the cheese board did me fine, again it was lovely to see local cheese on the board which is what you should expect in the county that has cheddar in it’s midst. My wife on the other hand loves her puddings and she tried two, the warm chocolate cake with clotted cream won hands down apparently as she had this on the first, third and fourth occasions we went - I think she couldn’t wait to get passed the first two courses just to have her sweet! The chef has many of the sweets, including a key lime pie made by a local lady. The wine list is not extensive but there is a nice choice and it is definitely not over priced - I like the Chianti. We were the last to leave most nights and the chef had a chat and a drink but only after all his other customers had left - you could tell he had a passion for local produce and for what he was doing. I have only one problem with Piggy-in-the-Middle and that is that it’s in Somerset and I am in London. I have eaten at some of the so-called ‘best restaurants’ in London and whilst I have eaten as well I have never eaten better and certainly not at the price of this Restaurant. If you are in Somerset find Porlock and find Piggy-in-the-Middle you wont regret it.

Beware - check what you have bought before you leave the shop. You might have pointed at some nice fresh sushi in the chiller but they have a nasty habit of giving you yesterdays left overs from the back of the pile. When the sushi is fresh it's great, but when it's old it's awful.

Not the cheapest I've eaten but so well worth the price. Service attentive and professional. Menu interesting without being OTT in terms of food combining. Presentation worthy of an art show but certainly not 'nouvelle'in their portion size. Lovely atmosphere in spite of being very early evening and the place was not full by any means. (us oldies like to eat early!) I would frequent it every week given the choice - and easy parking.

Excellent oasis of good food,(whopping portions!), drink and a warm cosy atmosphere in the pub. This landlord knows how to keep his Real Ale to perfection - such a joy these days. Very reasonably priced, good menu selection, and great local Somerset ingredients, especially on the Daily Specials board. Don't drive passed, as we sadly, have done before. Now it's a regular watering hole for us on cross -country trips.

I ve been to Ezo with my boyfriend last week and really enjoyed it. Everything was great, the food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly and the bill was quite reasonable. i had a pleasant romantic evening that night. i will definitely go back there again. At the end they gave us free Turkish delight on the house. I will advice everyone to give it a go.
