Excellent Meal
The Last Inn – NewportGenuinely very impressed. We've been looking for a local pub for a hearty Sunday lunch, and we've found one! Kids meals are do or die for me, places that charge adult prices and give fancy restaurant portions are a no no. £10 Sunday roast with all the trimmings, excellent. Plenty of meat all round. The adults roasts also hit the spot, and the puddings were brilliant. Fantastic service from a young gentleman who was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back, thank you for a lovely afternoon.
The Last Inn – NewportDon’t be put off by the well established weeds, empty flower boxes and what could be a lovely garden spoiled by an overgrown lawn. A gardener is seriously needed! However, the dining area is spacious but when busy must be quite noisy, the staff are lovely and the food was really good. Service was slow but it was worth waiting for our meal. Despite the downside we will return.
The Last Inn – NewportWe hosted my daughter Lucy's 40th birthday celebration afternoon tea yesterday - 16th May at The Last Inn. It was perfect. Becka & the staff ensured everything went smoothly from the booking through to the event. They were exceptional in both service and food. Thank you!
The Last Inn – NewportStaff were SO accommodating prior to our booking, responding to emails quickly and nothing being too much trouble! Food was lovely, drinks were flowing and the staff were attentive and kind. We had 18 people in for bottomless brunch so no mean feat to keep everyone happy - we will be back! Thank you :)
The Last Inn – NewportService was relaxed and friendly. I hadn't been feeling well but they where happy for me to have a light salad. We were a party of 4 and everyone really enjoyed the food We will be back.
The Last Inn – NewportWent to the Last for lunch on Friday, the food was excellent. My family had the southern fried chicken burgers with fries and I had the steak and onion ciabatta with fries, wow they were good, and yes will be going back there again.
The Last Inn – NewportMonday Madness meal was a real treat, Cooked & Prepared superbly, tasted great and obviously great value!
The Last Inn – NewportWe recently visited for a 50th birthday celebration with a group of 22. The food was lovely—well-presented, flavourful, and enjoyed by everyone. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite live up to the standard of the food. While staff were friendly and polite, there were delays and a lack of attentiveness at times, which was disappointing for such a special occasion. Overall, a nice meal, but improved service would make a big difference.
The Last Inn – NewportFood fabulous as always, staff friendly & efficient, just could do with better decor to create a bit of a cosier atmosphere. But we always enjoy our food here.
The Last Inn – NewportLovely food and service at a great price. Will be back.
The Last Inn – NewportThis was my first visit, I liked the rustic charm, the food was lovely and the service was good. I will definitely visit again
The Last Inn – NewportHad a lovely experience
The Last Inn – NewportWent on the 7th march Group of 4 we all had a lovely meal and good value for money Service was very efficient It was for some reason a quiet night which did make it a little strange but other than that a lovely place to have a meal Will definitely be returning
The Last Inn – NewportVisited on 14th February (Valentine’s Day) with my partner and our two girls. We arrived at 5pm for our table booking and were seated promptly. However, we quickly realised how cold it was inside the restaurant — so much so that my partner kept her coat on throughout. I mentioned this to staff and was told the heating would be turned up, but unfortunately it never seemed to improve. For starters, I had the chicken wings, which were nice but nothing special. My partner had the camembert and said it was lovely. The kids had garlic bread, which was just okay. Our mains arrived quite quickly. I ordered the Last Inn burger and fries, my partner had the chicken and prawn linguine, and the kids had mac and cheese. Sadly, this is where the experience really went downhill. My burger was extremely dry — I couldn’t finish it. My partner’s linguine was very oily, and the kids’ mac and cheese was also very dry with no creaminess at all, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. By this point we were still cold and very disappointed, so we decided to leave. What was meant to be a lovely Valentine’s meal was completely ruined. When the bill arrived, we were initially expected to pay in full despite most of the food being left on our plates. It was only after I challenged this and explained how dry the meals were that they removed the burger — but still charged for the chips. Overall, a very disappointing experience on what should have been a special evening.
The Last Inn – NewportMyself and partner thought we would give the last inn a try… we are so glad we did every bit of the food tastes lovely.. the puddings were just as good as the main meals too…
The Last Inn – NewportVery generous offer of £40 following a serious failure last year. The food and atmosphere were very good. Although a limited choice and the Vegan offer from previous was poor. The pub is not really accessible im in a wheelchair. Although you can access it via a back entrance through a very scruffy unkempt yard. It's a shame the ramp outside is stepped
