White Hart, The – Newcastle EmlynThe first time we dined at this restaurant my husband and I were very impressed. We have returned on numerous occasions to find the same high standards and delicious food. By far the best Italian restaurant in Cardiff (and we have tried them all !). A little more pricey than most italian restaurants but worth the extra pennies. Well worth a visit, but you need to book on weekends as it gets busy.
Scalinis Restaurant – CardiffAlthough there isn't much room to sit and eat your food here, the food itself is amazing! I can thoroughly recommend my favourite - the meatball feast Panini, but all the other baguettes, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, etc... are all fantastic. The milkshakes are gorgeous, the hot chocolate is really rich and creamy and there's a good range of crisps, cakes, cold and hot drinks. This is the best place for lunch in Cardiff!

The standard of cleanliness is excellent and the food choice and taste superb, if you are vegetarian you will love this restaurant as much as meat lovers. they constantly top up your coffee at the end of the meal for no extra charge and its the little touches like the mints, hot towels, and flower for the ladies at the end that make this an absolute pleasure, in fact I? off there again tonight.

Curros Restaurant – NewportIn past visits the food varied from good to terrible. On my most recent (3 weeks ago) I found the food was very good and the waiters very attentive. But BEWARE the watered down spirits. I ordered a large Gran Marnier with my coffee. It tasted of weak sugary water. The barman claimed he didn't drink so wouldn't know what it was supposed to taste like, and didn't offer a replacement or refund. I didn't make a fuss; just left without leaving the £5 tip which the waiters deserved but which covered instead the cost of my "Gran Marnier." I would re-visit because the food was OK but wouldn't let them get away with it a 2nd time.
