I had booked a meal for an overnight stay in Ripon, after reading some online reviews. I walked past the restaurant during the afternoon, when it is more like a cafe bar and wondered whether it was right for what I required. However, the location of my table, on a small elevated section, giving the impression of being "on stage" was the only (very) small drawback to an excellent dining experience. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable; food and wine were wonderful and the general ambience was very relaxed. We wanted to stay longer!

I think that best thing about this restaurant is the food it makes. The service could been better but overall it was a fantastic night and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

You can really tell that there is a lot of care and effort placed into the food at the bunkhouse. I thought it was fantastic, simply outstanding for the price.

Quite simply the best Thai restaurant in Leeds by a long shot. The food is consistently fantastic and delicious. If you have not been to Sukhothai, you are missing out on one of the tastiest dining experiences to be found up North with the added bonus of an extremely reasonable bill. This place is nearly always busy so booking a table is advisable.

love it, love it, love it. Orders taken promptly, food served quickly, staff don't harass you. I've been here several times & have enjoyed every one of my visits. THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB, CHECK IT OUT. oh & ask to sit on the bridge if you're with a girl & want to show your romantic side.

Visited on Fathers Day, and enjoyed the most amazing meal. We ordered seafood spicy soup, satay fish and chicken, with thai fish cakes. All dishes were perfectly cooked and were sizzling hot. The satay peanut sauce was beautifully balanced and the sweet chilli sauce complimented the fishcakes perfectly. Main courses included a weeping tiger, (sizzling marinated steak), Pad Thai, minced pork with chilli and basil, and steamed seabass with chilli and lemongrass. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the combination of tastes at our table blew us away. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing value.

Had a really nice time here for a fathers day sunday lunch. Good table with a view of the bridge and Cliffords Tower. Food quality is good and the portions (I had fish stew) very filling. Recommended

The food was finger licking good, I have been to other Caribbean restaurants in Leeds, but this has to be the BEST by FAR.....

Fantastic restaurant. I went here for my birthday and it did not disappoint. The chefs provide great entertainment and the food was divine. The cost reflects the quality therefore well worth it!

Further to my recommendation of 18-7-04..this restaurant just gets better. They now have a two for the price of one offer on all pizzas and pastas on Monday nights. Excellent value which is demonstrated by the number of customers they are having.
