Chaophraya – Leeds City Centrewhat a top place. v. good food but even better drinks. fab cocktails!
Jakes Bar – Leeds City Centrevery good
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreWe visited the new Bibis after having some excellent meals at the old Bibis. Unfortunately the food is now more expensive and simply not as good. A spicy sea food salad starter at £10.95 was expensive tasteless and miserable when compared to the old one on Greek Street, other food was acceptable. The service is excellent the decor and ambience is fantastic however get the food right as at the moment it does feel a bit fur coat and no knickers.
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City Centrenice place only average food, there are better places in teesside
Panda – StokesleyExcellent for a night out not just a great meal. NEVER lets you down. Favourite place to eat in Headingley by far.
Trio – HeadingleyReally nice surroundings and the service was good too. I recognised some of the staff from other restaurants I've visited in and around Leeds and the food was very similar to that of the Sala Thai in Shaw Lane Headingley. I wonder if it's the same chef. I have to agree with my fellow reviewer though, the Sukhothai in Chapel Allerton is the Thai restaurant by which all others will be judged.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreThis restaurant made me feel so relaxed, as if we were the only customers in there! The service and food were fabulous, well worth the money! It has the perfect ambience for a really special evening. Go now!
Chez Mal Brasserie – Leeds City CentreHave been here many times and always had a lovely time - pick a later sitting and you are never rushed to leave.
La Rue Restaurant – ShipleyGood food. Good atmosphere. Good restaurant!!
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreI have dined at the original Bibi's on Greek street several times and the food was always outstanding. The surroundings a little dated but still classy and the atmosphere outstanding. I visited the new Bibi's a couple of days ago and was totally blown away with the decor. The interior is of very high quality; the people involved must have spent a FORTUNE!!! Have you felt the weight of the main door? No expense has been spared here... Now the food, i have only been to the new one once and was a little disappointed, maybe the stunning interior raised my expectations of the food. It was ok don? get me wrong, but I felt my dish had been sitting on a hotplate whilst my partners dish was being prepared for a little too long. The service was outstanding, staff who were busy with other people still managed to fulfil our drinks requests and were always checking our wine levels and refilling where necessary. Good service is very important to me and Bibi's did not disappoint on this score. The only gripe I had with one of the waiter who I felt he was flirting a little too much with my partner! She enjoyed it though, so all is forgiven. Excellent, I just hope my food was a one off.
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreThird time I have been and my favourite visit so far. The service was vastly superior to my last visit and the food was as amazing as ever. Highly recommend.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreI saw this restaurant on this site, and after reading the other reviews, decided to give it a go. All i can say is thank you for possibly the tastiest meal I have ever had in my life. ( I am no spring chicken either). Truly truly scrumptious. I can not emphasise enough if you love Thai food or are new to it, you really have to check this place out. I had the weeping tiger ( a grilled marinated steak) and X2 which is duck in chill oil with sticky rice. The steak was like butter, so soft and tender and so full of flavour. The duck is so good, it is hard to put it into words. A good crowd of nice people, bustling with laughter and chat. Excellent veggie and seafood choices too. I am only sorry I did not discover it sooner.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Chapel Allerton – Chapel Allerton14 of us recently celebrated a 60th birthday here. The food was fabulous and we were made to feel so welcome. All the staff were friendly, smiling & attentive. We felt at ease and weren't rushed in any way. Marvellous
Rico’s – RoundhayThis is my local Tandoori; I go here on average 2 times per month. The food is very consistent and the prices average for a Tandoori of this nature. The waiters are very friendly and polite and with the place being quite physically small there is usually a very cosy atmosphere. The obvious down side to this is, on a Friday night it is VERY busy with people queuing to get in! Another plus is that the owner Raja himself, is always there keeping check on the chefs and helping the waiters. Also this may seem a bit snobby, but the people who go there are smart well to do with people, which is good considering the location. I have been in curry houses in the same area and have been annoyed with drunk rude boys with their mobile phones and rowdiness in general. Rajas is in my view a more relaxed and slightly more formal Tandoori of Harehills (if that makes sense!)
Raja’s – RoundhayReally great eating experience
Raja’s – Roundhaymmm mmm delicious. My friend and I love it
China Buffet King – MiddlesbroughBrilliant! food was gorgeous, didn't take long to arrive. Wonderfully decorated. Friendly staff too, and it didn't cost as much as I had expected. I got the wrong dessert but they were very apologetic and offered me another.
