I have dined several times at the Plumed Horse and have found the food inventive and flavoursome. My wife and I and friends attended the recent Gourmet evening which was fantastic and amongst the best meals any of us have experienced. The recommended wine pairings with the 7 courses were inspired. This restaurant is verging on 2 star Michelin and Tony Borthwick and his team deserve every award going. The service is attentive and friendly and not stuffy and overbearing. It is difficult to recommend a particular dish since they are all amazing.

What a place , was in with my friend for a b'day nite out and we enjoyed every bit of it. 11/10 wish it was possible it was excellent in all areas. Best indian in the west end. Beat it if you can Mr Majhu

Balbirs Restaurant – Glasgow

What a meal, was in on Wednesday 17th April, was there with a group of friends, had originally booked a table for 4 but we were 5 were informed by the manager that it was fine. When ordering our meal a chap in glasses came over and offered us the banquet, 3 out of 5 choice to go for it and we never regretted it. What food even the other 2 regretted not going for it. 10/10 in all areas. Balbir should be proud of his team their. The restaurant blends in well with the interior surrounding , layout, Indian music and the atmosphere.

Recently reopened and what a difference! Beautiful big spacious pub with great modestly priced food. Highly recommended

Trader Joes – Glasgow

Great for teenagers and those who think they are still teenagers! No reserving tables for parties less than 6 is most inconvenient, especially when travelling some distance and finding no tables available or a lengthy queue.

Hard Rock Cafe – Edinburgh

Great place for a quality meal and cheap drinks. A good old fashioned Glasgow pub!

Decided to give this wonderful little restaurant a try after hearing so many good things, my husband said it was one of the best steaks he had ever been served, starters were all yummy and pizzas were like being in Italy. You can tell the minute you walk through the door it is a family run restaurant as it is so welcoming...well worth a visit again and again and again.......Ps. You must try the Chicken Milanese and the home-made Tiramisu

Torna Sorrento – Glasgow

This is definitely the very best Indian restaurant in Edinburgh from the minute you enter this establishment to the minute you leave you are in for a Indian culinary masterpiece that I have never seen equalled anywhere in Britain

Lancers Brasserie – Edinburgh

Have only visited twice and was impressed. Food was freshly prepared and the cost was very reasonable due to the portion size. Staff were very efficient and friendly in both queen street and Dumbarton road restaurant. Will definitely visit again. Great place to visit as a couple or group.

Ichiban Noodle Cafe – Glasgow

Thought i would try out this place after hearing good raves about this place, and have to say excellent choice. Spoke to a chap called Lucky, who suggested that we should try the restaurant popular banquet. After been explained about it we all went for it, and what a meal, will be back with more of my friends and relatives. Keep it up guys.

This is the best chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The food is absolutely fantastic - especially the chicken satay! My husbands family and my own have been going to this place for years and it has never let us down. I always try other chinese restaurants in other cities to compare and nothing is anywhere near as good as this one!

Ho Wong – Glasgow

Very unusual place - an underground bar in a converted wine cellar, which opens up into a very nice, modern restaurant. (Located just off Princess St, by House of Frazer) Perfect for an after-work drink with friends or book a table to eat and drink in very relaxed surroundings (big bonus for me was that they show football on TV screens but without sound - my partner could keep an eye on the score without it ruining the conversation). Food is good and local (oysters, amazing-looking fishcakes, seafood platters etc) and the wine list is fabulous but not over-priced (between £16 - £30 per bottle and the higher priced bottles are really good wines). It's not fine dining but the location, atmosphere and good food make it a really relaxed, fun night out.

Outstandingly good sashimi (the salmon was the best I have ever tasted!) and the beef sashimi was unusual and very pleasant. Portions not huge, so the cost quickly adds up if you adore sushi and sashimi. Didn't try the noodle dishes (but they looked great) and the prawn tempura was very good. It's a tiny place (no more than 8 tables or so), so strongly recommend booking in advance. Will go back every time I'm in Edinburgh.

Sushiya – Edinburgh

A lovely little place hidden underneath and right from the Ping-On (also v.Good). The atmosphere is friendly and cosy with a pleasant Mexican/Spanish ambiance. The food is simple, tasty and well prepared. The Margaritas are pleasantly mild and the wines (mainly Spanish) are moderately priced. A restaurant I will definitely go back to.
