Went at 4pm on a Sunday for the buffet. I was looking forward to it but i came away very disappointed. I hardly ate anything. The starters were cold and soggy and the naan bread soggy. The currys were average but not worth the £10 price tag of the buffet which says a lot. Would not go again!

8 out of 10/ Service good, a little slow, took ten minutes to take order, chips frozen but ok, steak cooked beautifully and sauce good , garlic bread and tomato was extra special - tomatoes roasted for the topping taking away the sometimes over "tomatoey" taste so to speak , price reasonable and quite nice surroundings , one down side very poor seating / old chairs some of the high back faux leather seats would take this from pub to restaurant and add a little panache to this nice little eatery.

Pleasant and warm surroundings. Dropped in for a pot of tea and scone and received a lovely welcome from the owner who has owned the business with her mother for over 50 years.

we recently visited this establishment for a birthday party. we booked the table for 8pm and did not sit down at our table until 910 pm, whilst may I add it was still being set. There were 9 in our party and they sat 8 of us at the table and the 9th member had to sit on the next table all be it attached but they could not join in any proper conversation. They then brought the plates which were cold and started to dish, they were informed that a steak and chips was missing and also a single portion of chips, also one meal came cold and was returned to kitchen. It was quite evident that they could not cope wit the great numbers of customers they were receiving that night I would not recommend anyone visit this restaurant for a meal in the near future, oh and to add, the member of our party was given her meal in a box to take away steak chips and 5 peas ...lol

me and the wife had a meal last night heard good things so thought we try very busy for a wed night starter was good but main meal was shocking had steak at £14.00 which is not a lot but would rather pay double then i could eat it it was all fat and paper thin the worst sirloin ever, had better in a cafe staff where all English and not helpful did not ask if meal was OK etc just took the money no thanks will not be going back i think ever rather have a pizza from takeaway poor!

We visit this establishment quite often. They have recently changed the menu but still offer value for money meals - 2 MD for £7.95 (MD= Meal Deals) which i think is very good. Varied Choice, excellent quick service, meals coming piping hot and are good. Atmosphere of pub is good, shows all the big football games etc which is a must on a Saturday! Would highly recommend trying it won't be disappointed

Fab Indian drinks a little on the dear side. The staff are very good and attentive they always make an effort. Never had a bad meal even on the Sunday Buffet there is so much to choose from and the quality is high and at a good price for £10 all you can eat but you cant come its all mine lol.

Went for the office Xmas lunch last week and the food was wonderful. Lovely Country Pub, good service and they don't skimp on portion sizes. Recommend to anyone.

Got to say that chef, is top man when it comes to cooking!! and always happy to give big portions. I must say for the price & efficient staff I'll be back for more

My family has been going here for years. The food is always delicious. Even the 'English Meals' on the menu are worth trying-if you ever get tired of the huge choice of curries. The Buffet on Sunday afternoon is a must in the Credit crunch.

10 out of 10 would definitely go again. Staff very friendly and helpful got seated straight away and did not have to wait for our meals long. Calamari was nice but very greasy..... partner has minestrone soup he said was bit watery but you could taste all the flavours!! My pizza monte cristo was amazing.......and VERY filling!! olives were nicely presented and yummy.......and tomato and garlic pizza bread was nice.........will give you enough chips to eat for a week!! haha. Partners chicken pollo was to die for so he said. Lemon cheesecake and pineapple sorbet for dessert.....and what can i say 1000 out of 10!! will definitely definitely go again!!

Great would recommend to anyone, great food, great value and nice people

the food seems to have gone down hill considerably over the last 12months or so. used to dine here on a regular basis as was always great food and service. on our last visit we both had set meal, i had broccoli and Stilton soup which was like puree baby food with no Stilton flavour at all, my partner had Stilton mushrooms which looked and tasted as if the mushrooms were deep fried then placed in a lack lustre white sauce again with no Stilton flavour. next we both opted for "the famous lamb" which was again a let down considering we always have it the lamb was extremely fatty and chewy and the gravy under seasoned and lacking in any depth!! will not be returning anytime soon

Ate here Sunday night, the restaurant was really busy and had a really good atmosphere, I am almost sure that no other restaurant in the area would have been anywhere near as busy on Sunday evening!! The food and service were great…give this place a try and I am sure you wont be disappointed!

Me and my gf recently visited Francos. The food was quite good, service very good and the price was no problem at all. However, if you want that WOW factor I wouldn't recommend - tables were very close to each other so not intimate at all. Not a patch on one or two other Italians in the area.Francos is good but nothing amazing.

Never been before, arrived to a very busy restaurant we had to wait an hour for a table, but boy was it worth it. The food and atmosphere was excellent and yes we would wait again!

Visited here several times over the years and usually have the lamb, it's so tender and just falls off the bone. I've been with groups from work who have had different main courses and they all said theirs was good. No complaints about the food , but the restaurant is very dark with minimal lighting which makes it difficult to read the menu, especially if its winter and dark outside.

We visited The Spice Room for the first time yesterday evening. Decor: a tasteful blend of contemporary and traditional. Staff: attentive, without being a nuisance. Menu: good range of dishes, including vegetarian options. The vegetable jalfrezi and samber were both excellent and the chana di khal was very tasty. It was the best meal we've eaten out for quite a while and we're looking forward to eating here again very soon.
