The Plough Inn – AlfretonIdentity crisis? What we thought would be a lovely country pub really wasn’t. Parts of the pub were quite modern & other areas as expected. We were shown into the restaurant where there was 1 other table occupied however the awful ‘rave type’ music was so loud we asked to move. The other table said they were complaining as-well. The food was good in general but the experience would not make me return. It needs to be a country pub or a modern establishment it can’t be both
The Plough Inn – AlfretonOne of the best roasts we've ever had! Everything was delicious, especially the beef, Yorkshire pudding and roasties. Really generous portion so great value for money too.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonAlways have a lovely time at The Plough. The team are friendly and welcoming, plenty of choice on the menu, food is good quality served fresh and generous portions.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonWe love this place! The ambience and features of the building are fantastic. We love the food, especially the Sunday roast and the Pizza's. The staff are friendly and on point, nothing is too much trouble. We are surrounded by some fantastic country pubs but this one is our favourite.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonExcellent food, Lasagne and chicken curry for my wife and I. Staff very professional and polite. Good atmosphere and a reasonable price. What’s not to like?
The Plough Inn – AlfretonThe food here is absolutely amazing. We've been 5 times in the past 12 months and can honestly say we have never left disappointed. The portion sizes are generous and the staff are warm and friendly. It is really good value for money as well. I recommend this place to family, friends and Co workers.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonWe’ve been to the Plough a few times in the last few months usually for family Sunday lunch and always been impressed. The lamb and beef were not fantastic in fact we had to send one lamb back. The beef was served lukewarm (no I didn’t complain as we were on a time limit)n I’m hoping that the small complaints this time were just a blip.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonWe had been several times but on this visit we ordered our meal which came within 20 minutes the sauce we ordered didn’t arrive with our order and throughout the meal no member of staff came to ask if everything was ok with the meal we were disappointed with the service aspect of the establishment and will not be returning
The Plough Inn – AlfretonBeautiful meal with friends. Food was lovely
The Plough Inn – AlfretonWe had a lovely Sunday lunch, everything cooked perfectly. Beautiful quaint pub. Staff were polite and helpful. Will be back soon to try the steak night.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonWe love the Plough we have been coming for around a year after discovering it by chance. The food is always home cooked and amazing and the atmosphere and team are always so welcoming. We've just called for everything from a drinks outside in the summer, a few starters to share and full meals. The Sunday Lunch and Valentines Steaks nights were great and I love the fish pie.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonThis was our second visit and was not disappointed it was lovely the roast dinner the starter and dessert were all of high standard I have not eaten a Sunday lunch at home for the last 2years so I have travelled around and I can highly recommend this gem of a pub/restaurant although it was my second visit with this management I have been going to this pub since 1980s best yet service and food cannot wait to come back Thank you Sue
The Plough Inn – AlfretonLovely food, big portions and nice atmosphere. Asked to sit near the fire as it can be cold, especially in the top seating area near the bar.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonWe had the pleasure of visiting the Plough for Sunday lunch, and what a pleasure that was. Plenty of excellent quality food, in a convivial atmosphere, served by both friendly and efficient staff. Looking forward to my next visit, to slowly work my way through the menu!! Well done to The Plough and the team.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonLovely country pub with a lovely log burner, ideal for winter days. The food was great & so was the service. Not ideal if you have mobility issues as the pub is on 5 levels with steps between each. The pub suffered a power outage halfway through our meal which spoiled it a little.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonMet a work colleague for lunch as a mid way between the 2 location. Fantastic service and attention to detail. The Barman made us feel welcome and kept checking to see if we needed anything without being to pushy.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonWe went for the first time on Steak night, safe to say it was without doubt the best steak we all have ever had. The halloumi fries where top notch, chips where tasty and even made me, fresh from scratch burger sauce free of charge. Staff were all super attentive and really lovely and helpful, couldn’t fault them. This place is a real gem and absolutely lovely inside! Only down side if you struggle mobility wise, isn’t the easiest to get into from the car park on a dark wet night but it was worth it. Will definitely be returning again soon, we had a wonderful time and was all truly full and happy!
