We visited for Sunday lunch with our 1 year old. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, food was beautiful, Will definitely be back next time we are in the area

We ate here twice whilst staying in Lucker and both meals were very good.Lovely steak pie and fish and chips.Great beer and a very friendly welcome. Dog friendly which is always a bonus for us.Can highly recommend.

We stayed in a shepherds hut across from The Apple Inn and had an evening meal. The staff were friendly and service was very good. We both had steak pie and were happy to change the horseradish mash for chips. Desserts were lovely too if a little overpriced but I think that is the case in most restaurants. I think there could have be area that is more like a pub than sitting in a restaurant.

This is truly a wonderful Gastro Pub. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The bar offers a good selection of draught beers and cider. The cocktails are lovely too. Then we get to the FOOD!!! WOW the food is fantastic. The Prawn Tacos are sublime. The staff are attentive and your food arrives promptly. If I could score more than five I would. We have eaten here on several occasions and it is consistently SUPERB!!

This was our second visit. But it did not dissapoint. Delicious food, A warm friendly welcome from the staff, Great service, A great place to have a meal. Would definitely visit again.

Visited for dinner after reading great reviews and we were in the area on holiday. Sadly we were disappointed in the service levels on the night. Pretty much ignored for at least 30mins after ordering our drinks. Eventually managed to get someone to take food order from one of the most rude and disinterested girls I have come across. No eye contact or interaction and felt like we were just a problem for her. Food on the whole was nice but service continued to be hit or miss. A couple of members of staff were very nice particularly the lady who was working on the bar. Maybe a bad night but would not rush back..

Lovely friendly place, nicely decorated and the food was good too! Went as a family of 6 and everything was great. Just one little moan, the creamy sauce on the garlic mushrooms was more a milky sauce, very runny. Having said that would definately return here.

We enjoyed a very nice evening meal here on 14/10. Lovely pub/gastro, good atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Food was excellent, particularly the gammon, succulent, tender, beautifully flavored. The fish pie also highly commended. Good choice of ales. Well worth a visit. Will return.

We visited Oct 2021 and had a lovely meal so when we decided to return to Northumberland for Easter 23 we knew we had to return to The Apple Inn, so glad we did. Food was every bit as good as we remembered, Staff every bit as friendly and the atmosphere just as welcoming and dog friendly! Thank you for having us we will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic place! Went on Saturday night but booked as new it was highly sought after. Ambience was brilliant, very friendly but not intrusive staff, excellent food, reasonably priced AND you can take your dog! Food was very well presented, wine recommendation was spot on. A really enjoyable evening. We have visited a few pubs and Inns within the local area and this is by far THE BEST in the area! We will be back!

Had a lovely time on Saturday night Starters were great Garlic Mushrooms Soup onion and cider Mains Fish and chips they were so nice well presented hot and the batter on the fish was so crispy. Gammon so so tender another well presented meal Apple pie Biscoffe cheesecake Both desserts really nice disappeared quickly Team were great we were well looked after thank you

We had a wonderful meal with excellent service and atmosphere would highly recommend the Inn.

Just a lovely place, food was excellent and good value, service attentive and facilities brilliant. We are both disabled so easy access, lovely disabled toilet - very clean! - were a bonus. We will definitely return. Thank you

Very nice trip and enjoyed otters hut and service from all staff

The School House never disappoints. We enjoyed another superb breakfast including a School House Croissant which is a must to try. Always a friendly welcome and great service 5 star
