Excellent experience once again. We opted for fish and chips, and the steak pie, both of which were delicious. Dog friendly and always a nice welcome. The staff are very pleasant and deliver a great service. We will return!

Supper on Monday 27th March. We are not big eaters, and the mains weren't too different to what you would get in most eateries, so decided to try 4 starters instead. The Cheese Souffle was to die for, light & fluffy and served on a searing plate which kept it hot to the end. The Savoy Cabbage was a disaster, tasteless with hardly any dressing. Avocado on toast was fairly average. King Prawn taco (realise it was a starter but tiny portion of taco & slaw was very disappointing). The staff are excellent, friendly and we genuinely felt that they wanted visitors to have an excellent experience. Our two breakfasts in The SchoolHouse were fantastic. Beautifully presented and a huge plate of food for the same price as a starter across the road!

We had a lovely pub lunch and took our border terrier Toby as it's very dog friendly. A little bit more expensive than the average pub but the food is good as well as the service

We paid our first visit to the Apple Inn on a recommendation from my daughter and must say we were not disappointed. It was Mothers Day so I had my fingers cross everything would be ok. The food was excellent, we had the main course and a dessert washed down with a glass of rose for my wife and I had a pint of real ale. The service was very good and we felt we got exactly what we paid for not cheap but value for money. The only thing that stopped me giving the atmosphere a 5 was barking dogs, we love dogs and the odd bark would be ok but it was just to much. Will definitely be going again and hope the dog situation was just a one off.

Great escape to a peaceful hide away place! Great service and a friendly welcome. Well trained staff with good food. Good value for money.

We are on holiday in the area and had an amazing Mother’s Day lunch here with complimentary G and T food and service First class we also went back for lunch with friends later on in the week and again the food and service was excellent well done

A really great evening. Delightful, helpful, fun staff, very well prepared and delicious food (lots of it!) all in a comfortable, warm, well designed and decorated place - what’s not to like!? We enjoyed our evening here a lot so, next time we are in the area, of course, we’ll come straight back here again.

I ordered the £30 steak, asked for it to be cooked rare, it arrived and could see it had been sitting under the heat lamps it definitely was not juicy on the outside, it was pink on the inside but I couldn’t cut it even with the steak knife , left half of it. The waitress was very good and dealt with it well and gave a £10 discount but overall the meal was disappointing, just about average pub grub.

Fantastic breakfast in a beautiful setting. I have been several times snd it never disappoints. I took friends along this time and they were very impressed.

Lovely meal with friendly staff and dog friendly too We broke up our journey with a stay at the Apple Inn and couldn't fault the welcome or food It was a quiet evening but a friendly atmosphere

We have been many times in the past and always enjoyed our meals. 4 of us had Sunday lunch yesterday and lunch today. The food was fabulous and we were made to feel very welcome. The honey roast ham dinner was particularly delicious. We had 3 dogs with us today and they were very comfortable.

We had an amazing Sunday lunch here yesterday! and a cheesecake each to finish which was out of this world! The food is all very fresh and tasty , the staff were very friendly and helpful and our little dog was made most welcome so all in all thats 100% for us! We will be back!

Had a breakfast at The School House and its just such a lovely place. Great vibe, really clean and fabulous staff who are really engaging and friendly. The food was delicious, perfect way to start the day.
