Excellent food, prepared fresh. The menu is not huge, but plenty of options to suit variable tastes. Looks like they focus on doing a few things really well. Portions were substantial. Service was attentive and we had no issues. A really pleasant find and on we shall return to.

Needs some comfortable chairs and tables that don’t make it feel like a refectory. We were expecting a cosy country pub but we were disappointed. We were in and out in just over an hour the surroundings didn’t really make you feel like spending any longer .

The Apple Inn – BamburghI and my family are staying in Bamburgh for a week and we have now eaten twice at The Apple …. Lovely atmosphere, nice surroundings, good choice of drinks and local ales. The menu is a little limited but what we had (steak and Guineas pie, fish and chips) was very nice indeed, which is why we returned. Parking can be a problem but overall, very good experience and would recommend!

We arrived at 6.50 didn’t receive starter till 7.40 a table of 12 arrived after us and was served straight away. Feel as though we was treated shabbily as all had been paid weeks before. Didn’t stay for dessert as by this time was 8.30 very disappointed.
