Great pub located in a nice little hamlet. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was nice and promptly served. Only request would be a few more vegetarian options. Would recommend and would visit again next time in the UK.

My husband and I and two friends went to the Apple Inn one evening in Sept whilst on holiday. Glad we booked as busy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. All had the fish and chips which were huge (the fish) and the batter was absolutely gorgeous. Crispy but light and a big chunk of fish inside. Chips were very good. Sorbet and ice cream was very nice after. I had 3 oysters to start which were very nice too. Would recommend and go again if in the area, Would be a great idea for drivers if a non-alcoholic wine was on the drinks menu. So hard to find anyone who serves it these days.

Delicious food & very friendly hospitable place to eat.

After enjoying a delicious Sunday Lunch, we booked again for an equally delicious mid-week lunch. We will definitely visit again when we ate next in the area

We had evening meal at the Apple Inn on Saturday night there was 7 of us.Fantastic service ,lovely food ...we had 3 courses good value for money.We had a slight problem with a drink which was sorted without fuss immediately well worth a visit

Really tasty food all priced very well. Great selection of beers and ales. Staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. Short rib mac and cheese snd the steak pie were amazing. Friends had the lamb shank and mussels .

Visited the Apple Inn again and was welcomed by the wonderful staff, who are very attentive and looked after us and the dogs throughout the meal. Great food, well cooked and tasty. Highly recommended. We ate early so it was relatively quiet.

We were staying locally and heard how good the food at the Apple Inn was. We were not disappointed. Most of our party ordered the steak and Guinness pie and agreed it was the best version we had eaten. Also a great sticky toffee pudding! Our dog was made very welcome so a good time was had by all. Thank you.

Had a 3-course meal whilst staying over for a spa evening. Lovely food, good portion sizes and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend eating here

Had three super meals here whilst staying in the one of the Shepherd’s Huts. Food was excellent and staff all very friendly and welcoming. So good to eat in such a good restaurant that is also dog friendly. Definitely be back.

They welcome dogs even large GDS’s. Very accommodating. We visited a second time as the first visit was so good. Service and food excellent Will visit again next year

We had breakfast @ The School House mid week on our visit to the area. We enjoyed it so much that we went back on our final morning . Breakfast choice was great, service was excellent, great location and environment. We have already recommended it family who are due to visit later this year. Excellent 5*

We ate there twice last week and the food was lovely and the service excellent

We recently stayed in the D'Arcy room.Very spacious,well decorated and clean. Ate in the restaurant ,wonderfull fish and chips.Also breakfast was excellent
