We had a delicious Sunday Lunch, whilst on holiday nearby. Great food and friendly staff Thank you
The Apple Inn – BamburghHad an excellent meal at the Apple Inn on Sunday while staying at Pippin in Lucker, a few doors away, with our son and daughter law and small dog. We were made very welcome, staff were very friendly and helpful and food was excellent. Will definitely be visiting again.
The Apple Inn – BamburghStayed at Stablewood cottage 2 min walk away. Ideal super dog friendly pub. Staff great, food great. Made very welcome with our little dog. Would definitely recommend a visit. We will be back next year. Thank you.
The Apple Inn – BamburghStopped for lunch and glad we did. Great food and pleasant service.
The Apple Inn – BamburghGreat food, great service, couldn't ask for much more
The Apple Inn – BamburghOur first visit and hopefully not our last. Good atmosphere and plenty of space between tables. Clean and modern. The food was excellent and service good, despite the sad news of the Queen's passing. We will return to sample the puddings under better circumstances.
The Apple Inn – BamburghWe had a great meal here.. Cheese soufflé, lamb shank with tagine sauce and pearl barley couscous, sea Bream, and the signature apple dessert. All delicious and excellent service, I love that there is a signature dessert and that it's something different.
The Apple Inn – BamburghThis was our last meal out before returning home from our holiday stay and it was excellent. If only this hadn't been our last day we would certainly have visited again
The Apple Inn – BamburghAfter having a lovely meal here last year, while staying in the area, we booked for a family of 6 on Thursday at 6.30.Seemed quite busy, but we were glad to see 2 adjoining tables reserved for us. Food was excellent, however our meal was spoiled by a large dog allowed to jump up on my knee, while I was trying to eat, I ended up with gravy down the leg of my trousers. Although I did get a 'forced' apology off the dog owner, as someone who has been bitten in the past, I could no longer finish my meal, causing upset to the rest of the family. My point is although the Inn is "dog friendly" not everyone eating is! Surely separate dining areas for those who chose not to be in contact with dogs would be a better option?
The Apple Inn – BamburghWe ate here 3 mornings. The first we had a very lovely waiter, who was kind and gracious. The other two mornings we had a waitress who let us know each time how beleaguered she was, and acted like our mere presence was a complete bother.
The School House – BamburghVisited on Sunday around 2-30 plenty of tables even though we had booked . We ordered the Sunday lunch one beef and one chicken . I don’t normally like leaving bad reviews so let’s just say it’s my taste but the beef was awful . It was fatty and had lots of grissle , I couldn’t cut it Veg was hard ( I like it crunchy but not that bad) The roasties were not cooked in goose fat either . I am sorry but if I am Paying £16 it has to be better than this . The chicken was ok nothing to write home about . I felt like it was a bit deserted and we waited about 30 mins for our food . I wouldn’t go back sorry . I took the beef home for my dog wrapped in a napkin . Yes I did tell the waitress but she said oh well that’s ok then , if the dogs getting it .
The Apple Inn – BamburghEnjoyed our visit . Sunday lunch good but would have liked to have seen a veggie option for the Sunday roast menu with veggie gravy too . Starters delicious. Service great ,very friendly and professional. Asked if we could tip the staff with card but advised only cash which seems a shame as I’m sure they must miss out as who carries cash nowadays. They also have the School House opposite the pub and we had breakfast there the next morning and was super fantastic. It’s well worth a visit to start your day.
The Apple Inn – BamburghVenue and food very good, service excellent and staff very helpful will definitely book again
The Apple Inn – BamburghTwo excellent meals at the inn during our stay in Lucker. Helpful service and reasonably priced.
The Apple Inn – BamburghMe & my family had a gorgeous meal here for my birthday with the grandkids. The staff were very helpful and polite. Also my husband passed out just after our meal and I must thank the staff for all their help and support. They took the grandkids into another room till my husband came around. They couldn’t do enough to help. I would deffo recommend here for a meal. It was worth every penny. Also it is dog friendly.
The Apple Inn – BamburghBooked here when staying locally as wanted somewhere dog friendly . Was very pleased we did , lovely building with friendly and attentive staff . Menu was extensive and really good choices . The ability to have light bites and smaller plates is good . We started with the charcuterie board which was amazing ! Husband had honey glazed pork and was very impressed ! I had the fish tacos with onion rings , of which there were loads . Good value for money and would happily recommend if you are in the area
The Apple Inn – BamburghVisited for a couple of nights and ate at the Apple Inn both nights. Food was fantastic, well sized portions and staff were friendly and attentive. Prices seemed very reasonable for the quality and amount of food we were given.
The Apple Inn – BamburghSunday lunch but not the usual fare. Vegetables were excellent and perfectly cooked. I had the pork which came as a chop but with no fat. The other two had beef and chicken which were very good. All plates were cleared completely. Wide choice of drinks and my IPA was just right. All in all a very good lunch with good friendly service and great value for money. Will be back.
