Delicious food, fresh, well cooked, good choices. Staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. Spacious, comfortable dining area. Warm, comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We have become regulars at the school house but not now, the full English has become so inconsistent on our last three visits, portion sizes, quality every time we visit it is different, a common feature is having to ask for cutlery and clean glasses, one thing that always shines through is the friendly and hardworking staff although sometimes clearly understaffed and under pressure, the stairs carpet is also long over due a hoover and the toilets certainly are ready for a deep clean.

Varied choice, excellent food. Service outstanding, enjoyed the experience tremendously, would have no hesitation in returning.

Friendly gastro pub with great food at a reasonable price. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were even happy to cook some sausages for our dog. It was great to have great food in a dog friendly atmosphere. The deserts definitely worth keeping space for.

An absolute gem of a place. Welcoming, clean, fresh and a delightful atmosphere with friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Food was outstanding, well cooked and with generous portion sizes which tasted absolutely delicious. The signature Apple pudding was amazing

Lovely welcoming staff, service brilliant . Good amazing and welcoming to dogs. We stayed over too and couldn’t fault a thing thank you . Also get a discount from staying which is an added bonus

Had three meals in the last couple of days. First was Sunday tea roast which was excellent,lamb shank and all the trimmings,great value. Second was small bites on Monday,salmon bracheta,very small portion,basically a piece of toast with crème fresh and a bit of salmon all for £10! Next was tea,fillet steak with Diana sauce,not great!bland sauce,steak should be easy to cut,glad i had a steak knife!And at £28 plus £3 for sauce,not great value. Would definitely go back for Sunday lunch/tea. Great staff,lovely pub,which is dog friendly.

Couldn't fault the quality of the food but service was poor

Excellent service and friendly staff. My elderly mum thoroughly enjoyed her food and it was great that the waitress recommended the smaller portion as it was just right for her. I asked for vegan food in advance but was pleased to find there were several vegan options when I got there. The vegan food was nice, but not special. The accompanying side salad was a little dull and could do with a better dressing. The sourdough bread that came with the olives was very good but there could maybe have been less bread and more of the lovely olives. I would recommend it.

We recently enjoyed a delicious meal at The Apple Inn whilst staying on holiday about 4 weeks ago. The food, the staff and the service was absolutely fantastic despite being short staffed. There certainly wasn't any wastage of any food on anyone's plates at all and the food tasted delicious! Would definitely recommend and would certainly visit again if in that area again.

Me and my friend had a spa day with a 3 course meal The starter I ordered wasn’t available but it took 40 mins for someone to come and say so had to pick something else ( not a problem ) Starter of fish tacos was delicious Had a bit of a wait for main but had the fish and chips which didn’t disappoint and was well worth the wait and topped it off with the raspberry brownie and sorbet which I would recommend I use this pub often and the staff are excellent very attentive and nothings ever a problem for them and I will definitely be back it’s worth a visit if your in the area

Had breakfast here after a lovely stay in one of the Stablewood cottages and part of a spa day package. Great service and delicious food. Would definitely recommend a try.

Visited on 26/07/22 as a group of 4 as part of a spa package with Beau monde salan and spa. We had 3 delicious courses. The staff were lovely. Very attentive and very helpful when asked about what they would recommend. We loved the chilled environment and the decor.

This is our regular when we are at Orchard Park. There is always a warm welcome and Sunday was no different. The table was prepared and the order was taken promptly. We had the lamb shank with lots of fresh vegetables and delicious creamy mash. Can't comment on starters or sweets as we were too full for anything than just the main course. A good pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord washed everything down well.

Wonderful family dinner at the Apple Inn. Warm welcome on arrival, and shown to our table. Prompt drinks order taken, and delivery. Daughter had nice mocktail. Starters were all very tasty including the children's options. The mains were delicious - Butternut squash rogan josh and Sausage with mustard mash and buttered greens. Topped off with a side portion of amazing triple cooked fries. Children's meals all very tasty too especially the Mac n Cheese. Didn't have time to stay for pudding unfortunately, but the options looked very good. All in all it was a great family meal out, the best we had during our week in Northumberland, and at good value with great service. Would definitely return to the Apple Inn when we return to the Bamburgh area again.
