Great place! Food was tasty and came in good sized portions. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent food, beautifully presented combined with excellent service and very friendly staff.

My wife has coeliac disease and a fussy eater so trying to eat out is always a challenge. However not here the food was excellent and she was so happy that she could have a gluten free fish and chips followed by some ice cream. The portions were big and the chips big. The only criticism was that the accompanying mushy peas were almost cold. I had the white onion and cider soup to start which was delicious. This I followed with a lamb shank which apart from the bone had no waste on it whatsoever. Excellently cooked. The establishment did apologise over service times as 2 staff had gone sick

We had an all day breakfast on 4/7/22 and had no complaints at all. The breakfast was awesome and the staff friendly.

Despite only being offered the lite bites menu at 12:30 we still found lots of choice. The potatoes skins were really the best we ever had. Instead of the normal cheddars set solid we had a mix of cheese and that stayed more like a fondu cheese. Very nice! Burger was tasty and huge for me. Steak pie was also great. No room for anything else. Oh another pint:) just on hols and would recommend a meal there. We cycled and we worried about where to lock the bikes . They put us by the window over looking them locked in the covered outside area . Ps the booking system online is great

A little too warm in the restaurant but the food was mostly superb and service was fabulous. Between us we had fish and chips, sausage and mash, rogan josh, and veggie burger (not quite as well received), sea bream special. We have been here many times and will continue to do so.

I booked this venue for eight discerning diners on a golf trip, one of whom had visited some six years before and recommended we have dinner here. We were not disappointed as the food was beatifully prepared and presented, with a modest menu clearly designed to cover any taste or dietary requirement. The staff were attentive, smiling and energetic and took the time to mention outside matters that might have been of interest to us without being intrusive. It made the visit all that more enjoyable. My oysters were superb and the gentleman seated next to me said the the cheese souffle was the best he had eaten and a dish that is notoriously difficult to get right. Need I say more except thank Apple in for a wonderful meal!

We had prebooked lunch online, after a recommendation from our accommodation hosts. We arrived early but were met with a warm welcome and we could have any table apart from one with a reserved sign. We sat down at the bottom behind a corner, as thought it would be less distraction for our puppy. We were served quickly for our drinks and food order by a friendly man. The food came quick and was delicious - burger, and steak pie. We didn't see a member of staff again. Nobody came to check if the meal was OK, if we wanted further drinks, or desserts. O had really wanted to try the signature apple dessert. Having sat for quite some time, we both went separately to the bathroom and still no service. We decided just to leave then and asked to pay at the bar. It is a really lovely place to eat, just a shame that the service was lacking. There seemed to only be another w tables with guests that we could see, so the staff didn't appear to be rushed off their feet. Food 5* Service 2*

It would have been 5 stars as food, service and staff were superb. However after 2 visits in a week I must subtract one star. The background "music" (which was the same for both visits) consisted of some of the greatest torch singers of the 50s and 60s being utterly destroyed by Robbie Williams and his family converting them to duets. Good luck for the future and I hope someone buys a new cd of original hits very soon

Had a superb early dinner here yesterday all cooked to perfection. Steak, Chicken then the signature Apple dessert which was just not only wonderful to look at but tasted equally as nice. The staff were so friendly making a fuss and looking after us and our dog. Will definitely return.

Booked for a party of 5, the food and service was excellent. The menu may not be as extensive as in other establishments you look at but consequently the standard of the food is first class . If you are wanting to eat out in the area book here and you won't be disappointed.

Had a marvellous breakfast with our friends at The Schoolhouse. We all sat outside with our dogs ( three lively boxers) and the weather stayed lovely. The food was delicious and the service was equally good. We all dined at the Apple Inn across the road on Sunday and had another great meal. Lucker is very fortunate indeed to have two such establishments.

We had two excellent meals at the Apple Inn whilst staying close by. The rib eye steak was phenomenal. Overall the quality of the food and service was very good.

On holiday and had a lovely meal here. Service and quality were spot on! The dog was also made welcome. Pleasant surroundings and a good atmosphere

Went for lunch this week. Everything was well served, presented and delicious. We had 2 full breakfasts, kippers and 2 pizzas. We are repeat customers and will be back. The only reason for the lower mark for atmosphere was that it wasn’t busy when we went.

Excellent atmosphere decor and service. The food was delicious. I had the honey pork. I would have liked a few carrots as well as peas. Husband had pie akso delicious.
