A lovely evening at The Apple. Delicious food, friendly attentive team and interesting menu- difficult decisions on deciding what to eat!!! We had trouble with our booking, as I originally gave wrong date, and Jen sorted it out and contacted me twice, so I could rest assured that our reservation had been altered and was correct on the system - thanks Jen, great service!

Lovely meal, great service - as always

We were there yesterday and it didn’t disappoint. Food and service were excellent. Staff very friendly and attentive Would certainly recommend and we will be returning soon

I, apologise, my wife and myself never made the HPB Lucker, which we were booked in for the Christmas week, because my wife went down with food poisoning last Wednesday, and we were due to travel to Lucker on Thursday. So we had to call it off unfortunately, but our friends, Mr and Mrs Clarke came and I hope they apologised for us. They rang us on Friday to say they had had a lovely evening and everything was spot on and gave you top marks all round, which only made us feel more miserable at what we had missed. Never mind, as Lucker is our favourite site in the HPB complex we will be back and you will be our first port of call

Lovely meal, all food ordered was delicious. V friendly and efficient team running the Apple. I booked in advance and requested a specific seating arrangement to accommodate our dogs needs and everything was sorted when we got there! THANKYOU Apple team, we will be returning!

Afternoon tea first class as is the breakfast. Comfortable, spotless, contemporary, dog friendly. Nothing too much trouble - they made a lovely vegan afternoon tea for one of our party. Top billers!

The food was delicious. We had lunch and was such a treat. Chef did food for me that had been on the breakfast menu but because it was quiet he said he could make it for me anyway. Thank you

Our second meal of the weekend at the Apple Inn of the weekend and it didn’t disappoint. We all opted for the Sunday lunch and the food was excellent, sufficient portions with additional vegetables and the Yorkshire puddings were fabulous. Staff were very friendly and the service was excellent- good value for money

Great food, nicely presented by staff who were helpful and prepared to do a little extra for their customers. Main drawback was arriving expecting the 3 course table d’hote Winter menu only to learn it wasn’t available in December. A shame it couldn’t be removed from the website.

Lovely decor and atmosphere. Really great menu with plenty of choice (even for veggies/vegans). Delicious food and fantastic service from the lovely staff. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog along too. Thank you Apple Inn, we will definitely be back on our next visit to Northumberland!

Excellent dinner at the Apple Inn. My partner had the fish and chips which he couldn’t eat and took half home due to the size of the fish. I had the venison loin which was beautifully cooked, if you have a large appetite I would recommend a side order of vegetables but I had sufficient. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly- would recommend and definitely will be going again

Lovely to have such a welcoming pub close to our cottage.

A fine meal as always at this Inn, with one caveat, but service sadly not close to being up to scratch. Quite why it took 40 mins for our main course to arrive was simply ignored & having asked us if dessert was wanted, the menus failed to appear until another person asked us again. Also, in the times we live in, quite why the staff aren’t wearing masks is simply beyond reason. The caveat was that the starter & desserts were superb, but the main course though of a fine quality & of above ample quantity was pretty bland & not all that tasty. So a qualified recommendation then, with a bit of work to do to equal our last visit. Atmosphere sadly spoiled by selfish Dog owners.

Hat a lovely welcome. The staff amazing. Felt very safe and part of the experience. The meal was amazing. Cheese Soufflé was fabulous and the Curried Parsnip and Pear Soup was tantalising your tastebuds. The steak and steak pie was a Maze zing..would defo recommend.. x

A nice evening. Lovely, friendly staff. Food very tasty. Not a great range of choice but well presented. Beer very good.

The afternoon tea was excellent. Sandwiches and cakes first class. Maybe some more tea though? Thanks.
