On holiday in Northumberland & as a family of 6 we booked the Apple inn for an evening meal & glad we did.! Very clean & covid safe pub with professional staff. The food was fantastic & we all thoroughly enjoyed it.So much so that we wanted to book for later in the week but unfortunately for us they were fully booked. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area .

Food good, however very small portions of veg and potatoes. Music much too loud and not specifically to our liking in restaurant, not able to talk in a relaxed manner because of this.

What a lovely meal, first class food great service and nice atmosphere all delivered in a totally COVID safe way .... thank you!

Overall the food is good. Only a personal thing, but the accompaniment items don’t bear much resemblance to their origins, I.e. seared sage with the rack of lamb could have been burned anything, mushroom with the rib eye steak could have been pate or anything, but not obviously mushroom. Starters good, desserts good on the occasion that we had one. Staff very enthusiastic and pleasant.

A delicious afternoon tea in a delightful restaurant with wonderful service and dog friendly too! A lovely visit.

Staying at the Warrenford Cottages, so only just over a mile or so away, from what is a beautiful “gastro” bar/pub.. found this place after conducting a google search. Food was amazing and very well presented. Love the fact that your main cutlery is in sealed paper bags (including napkin) and also a “safe hands & space” hand wipe. Very clever and something I have mentioned over the years that restaurants should offer.. As mentioned the food, all three courses were genuinely lovely, tasty and portion was bang on.. The Black Bean Beef, starter is amazing. Our guests loved the Prosecco Strawberries. The Steak & Guinness Pie I’m informed was very very good. My lovely Wife and I had Fish & Chips.. The batter was light and the fish was excellent.. What can I say about puds.. I don’t generally do puds, but was tempted with the “signature apple”, which was blooming delicious.. I want that again.. I won’t spoil it for you, but get to the middle of the apple sorbet as quickly as. You won’t be disappointed. All in all, x4 people on x3 courses and wine and drinks, £160.. Take off the drinks and we are around £120 for x4 people. I can’t grumble at that and for the absolute quality. Give this place a go, pity I reside 150mls away, as I would be back again and again.. Yum yum.

Absolutely delicious full English breakfast at the School House. All lovely local produce (we even recognised the sausages, award-winning favourites). Lovely interior, great service. Couldn’t ask for better than that. Heartily recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and our time at The Apple. From starter through the main to the desert, the food was tasty and enjoyable. from the time we stepped in to pub, we were welcomed and received excellent attention and service. All staff were friendly and chatty despite being busy.

Cracking food with good service.... worth a visit 100%

My wife and I just yesterday had a superb Sunday Lunch,which was excellent servings were generous cooked superbly with fantastic flavours

Second time in a week. First time with family, excellent time and friendly service. Granddaughter’s birthday, happy for us to take a small cake with candles which she thought was marvellous. Super night. Second time just as enjoyable.

This restaurant was recommended to us by family, and was so pleased we booked on our way home! Meal was delicious and beautiful presented, finished off with fabulous Apple pudding! Lovely setting and friendly staff. Definitely will be returning when we’re back up in December!

Lovely food and attentive friendly service.

The food and service at The Apple Inn were amazing. The staff were very friendly and obviously were proud of the restaurant as I think since lockdown ended they had worked extremely hard. The meal was the best we have had in our week in Northumberland so far. We had the halibut and the chicken were delicious, the desserts the same. We have recommended to friends and family.

Lovely food and good service..just a shame that the two of us were tucked away in a corner behind a screen so could have been eating anywhere with no atmosphere.

Food was lovely but such a disappointing experience. The service was really bad and we were left for an hour before receiving our deserts. When they came they were missing the raspberry coulis. No-one checked in on us and we had to chase things up several times. Such a shame as has great potential.

A lovely meal. Staff were friendly and attentive. Wide variety available on the menu. Will be back.
