A lovely meal. Staff were friendly and attentive. Wide variety available on the menu. Will be back.
The School House – BamburghI have eaten here before and have sampled and critiqued the pubs and restaurant in the Bamburgh seahouses and Belford area for some years and i can honestly say that I have just had the nicest sunday lunch I've hd in the area. There are plenty of good eateries around here but the standard of meat and veg was exceptional. Yum yum. Will be back soon.
The Apple Inn – BamburghWould certainly recommend The Apple Inn as a place to get a good meal. It is very popular, so much so we were unable to book a table for another meal before we travelled home, so book early folks. Great food, service and atmosphere
The Apple Inn – BamburghLovely food in great surroundings. Vegetarian breakfast was really tasty, kids enjoyed their pancakes and hubby his full English. Service wasn't great but they did apologise a few times and I think they'd been a lot busier than expected. Wouldn't recommend the berry smoothie, overpriced and dull.
The School House – BamburghV. Good reception, service and food excellent all at acceptable prices.
The Apple Inn – BamburghWell received by staff who were all polite and prompt despite being very busy at 5:00 pm. Good food and ale. Would go back.
The Apple Inn – BamburghHad a great meal at the Apple Inn last Friday (28th May). My husband and I both had fish and chips and this was really really good. The fish was superb, thick and meaty and the batter thin and crispy. Great dessert too.
The Apple Inn – BamburghI was attracted to this place because of the menu and it did not disappoint. All the meals were delicious, especially my gluten free sandwich. There wasn't a gf scone available but the extremely helpful and attentive staff sorted a gf alternative from The Apple Inn which was really good. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly and excellent value for money. All in all I walked away wishing I lived closer!
The School House – BamburghAbsolutely fantastic!! We were a group of three and we all raved about the food, the service and the atmosphere. Friendly, great service....and the food...oh my goodness, it was just beautiful!!! We will definitely be back! Thank you.
The Apple Inn – BamburghExcellent food, particularly my cheese soufflé. A huge fish with lovely crispy batter and at good prices.... But. We had the only table we could book, 5 o'clock, what I hadn't considered was children. Perhaps there could be a separate family area, I'm sure they are great kids but I don't want one screaming in my ear.
The Apple Inn – Bamburgh5 star
The Apple Inn – BamburghAmazing. Food was incredible and the service was great too. Dog friendly pub that worked well for us. Brilliant all round thank you AAA+++
The Apple Inn – BamburghThe service good and the food lovely. However we did feel that the portions could have been a slightly bigger. We both had steak and Guineas pies which were very tasty but on the small side for a mani course. I had sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was as good as my home made pudd. This was served with ice cream which was also really tasty but again only one small scoop just made me feel a little disappointed.
The Apple Inn – BamburghDelicious food with a great menu. Excellent friendly staff and service. Would highly recommend.
The Apple Inn – BamburghExcellent food quality and nice environment, would highly recommend.
The School House – BamburghThere was a gang of 12 of us over a significant age range and everyone of us really enjoyed the food. The choice of drinks was good and the staff were excellent. Would strongly recommend, but don't take Ben with you, he has expensive tastes and wants to finish off your meal before you have given up on it, but he's a growing lad!
The Apple Inn – BamburghThe staff at Apple Inn were brilliant - endlessly cheerful and helpful. The food was excellent and the pub had gone to enormous lengths to keep every table screened from the next and Covid safe. congratulations to you all but particularly to the lovely girl who served us.
The Apple Inn – BamburghBooked for Sunday lunch as our first post lockdown meal out, meet and greet was good and all covid friendly layout etc. We were served and our order taken quickly, when our lunch arrived I immediately thought "is that it" the server left the table and I did not get chance to ask about the lack of potatoes and minimal gravy. The veg we did have and meat was very nice but no one came to our table again.. despite trying to attract the attention of staff. We sat for 20 minutes with dirty plates as did a family opposite.. I would have liked a dessert but did not get the opportunity. Eventually after being continually ignored we decided to leave, upon going to the bar two staff were stood at the end chatting and when I remarked about waiting with dirty plates she just said "oh its been very busy" not very apologetic or concerned about the appaling lack of service. If they think it was busy then summer is going to be a real eye opener. Shame as we are local and would have gone again.
