Fantastic food. Great atmosphere brilliant staff

Although we had booked a table, we were taken to the far dining room and told to sit at a table. We were not offered any menus so asked other diners if we could use theirs. On giving our order to the staff at the bar we were asked for a table number. I explained that no number was on our table and was confronted with a blank look and made to feel stupid. I went back to our table which did not have a number so “pinched” one from the table next to us, as the people sitting there had finished their meal. I explained this to the bar staff and again was faced with no comment. The food arrived and it was good. The place was busy but the order was very prompt. Because of the attitude of the staff we did not stay for dessert or coffee, so our evening out was very short.

Easy to book online. Excellent staff and friendly service. Food is always good plenty of room but can be busy in high season.

Love the food and the atmosphere

Booked a table for ourselves and two friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My husband and I have burgers which were excellent and our friends have the pies. One had the chicken the others the steak pie and both said how much they enjoyed their meals. Our initial reception at the bar could of been improved upon

Fantastic Sunday lunch yet again., the roast beef just melts in your mouth

Really enjoyed the food. It was presented well and was really tasty. Very nice location with a park on site. We walked our dinner off with a nearby nature walk along the riverbank.

Not a very friendly welcome, the bar staff made us feel like an inconvenience to be honest. Ordered food at 8.30pm, it was not very busy. Waited 45 mins. It was ok, good pub grub. The lady that served the table was polite. The place itself is really beautiful, just let down by the unfriendly staff....

Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The food was so good-2 of us had a Sunday roast which was the best roast I've had in years and the other 2 had the Aberdeen Angus burgers which were huge! We absolutely will go again-this wasn't our first visit as we've been lots of times before but we are meter disappointed.

Lovely food and super fast service! The Sunday roast was particularly good. A big no no for me, squirty cream from a can on the desserts. After such lovely starters and mains I was expecting the same for pudding, freshly whipped cream is a must for a place that serves such quality food.

came here on the last day of our holiday and was bummed we only found it on the last night!!! absolutely incredible food, my mum said it was the best burger she’d ever had… amazing value for money… fast service and friendly staff… when in wales we will definitely be going back!!!

We go this time every year for Sunday Lunch & it's always excellent service. The food is amazing I highly recommend going. Definitely book though as it's very popular.
