Lovely pub with very friendly staff. Queued 15 minutes for a drink on arrival then 10 minutes to be allocated a table . The meal was nice but then had to queue another 10 minutes to order dessert . We booked this meal over a week ago but I’m afraid we will not be going back!

Fantastic food, atmosphere & service. We always enjoy a meal at The Vic. The menu was a great blend of pub favourites & something a little different. I had steak & ale pie which was beautiful. Highly recommend, make sure to book as they can be very busy !

WOWSERS! Consistency at its best. We visited twice in one weekend absolutely fabulous service, food and drinks. On the Friday evening we dined from the regular menu Sole was beautifully cooked in tempura batter and hubbies Rib Eye was one of the best ever. Second visit was for a Sunday lunch ..... what a feast! Party of 4 of us this time and we had a split of 3 roast beef lunches and 1 roast lamb lunch. The portions were amazing and the meat was sooooooooo good. There were 3 types of potato, yorkshire pudding and a vegetable selection all of which were cooked to perfection and plentiful. The service was fast and efficient. On both occasions the greeting we received on arrival and subsequent bar service was outstanding. 10 stars in our book and boy, are we fussy so-and-so's. Victoria Inn you will most definitely see us again! Thank you all.

This was a last-minute booking. I didn't think we'd get a table. But the three of us did. The staff were attentive, professionable and knowledgable. The food was superb, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The beer was good too. I'm so glad I came. 5 out of 5 from my daughter, wife, and myself. We'll be back...

Excellent food and service

Lovely place - both the restaurant & the outside area 3 of us ordered different meals & all of them were amazing (Chilli con carne, Anglesey Burger, Sweet Potato & onion tart) Staff were friendly & helpful Shame we only discovered this place on our last night but we'll definitely return when we are in the area again

Easy to book a table online and you really need to do that. The staff are very helpful and give great service. The menu is not typical pub food which is good and they always have great specials.The food as always was excellent and plenty of it. Price is very fair. Overall very satisfied. We have been when on holiday for last 3 years and never been let down. Will be back.

Excellent food served in friendly atmosphere by great staff. We visited last year too and the food was wonderful. I had the chicken and almond curry this time around, hubby tried the chicken pie, ten out of ten for presentation and the same for quality and taste of ingredients.

Beautiful pub. Booked our table, on arrival we was pointed where our table was, not shown. Ordered and meals came out at separate times. All our chips on each meal was really over cooked. My wife’s vegan sausage casserole was over salted. Puddings where really overpriced.

Meal was nice, food was hot and tasty... only niggle is that the side order of veg didn't come out with the meal and I had to ask that it be removed from the bill.

We love visiting The Vic, always a nice atmosphere, cheerful staff and good food. I find the music a bit overwhelming, all over the place. It's nice by the river for this reason, no loudspeakers there. There's a great children's play area, great for a family group. I like the big pine trees too, the garden space is very extensive.

Had a simply wonderful meal at the Victoria Inn. The chilli and the chicken and almond curry were not just delicious but also very nicely presented, making them feel special. The rocky road stack is the most mouthwatering dessert we’ve had in ages! Lovely setting, very friendly and efficient staff. Only minor gripe is we would have preferred the garden without music being piped outdoors - just the sound of the river and birds are plenty. Thank you - we’ll be back very soon!

We very much enjoyed our meal at "The Vic" and as always there was a great choice of food, my partner chose a special, and I had a steak. We couldn't fault the food or the wine (we had a glass each) and the service was excellent, the staff do seem to work very very hard and we are very grateful for their attentive service. We will be back.

As we regularly pop in for food it’s always lovely, just a shame there are too many dogs around especially when their owners let them eat from one of your pie dishes, which is totally out of order
