Had Sunday Roast with friends yesterday afternoon. The meal was lovely. Meat was tasty (Pork Belly) and nicely cooked through (Beef) for my liking, and I had the Duo. Veg was varied and plentiful and really good roast potatoes. Staff were really friendly. The pub has not always been great but in the last two years, we've been a few time and found the food really good and the staff pleasant and helpful. Great to know it's at last living up to it's location on the green! Lovely place to go!

We had dinner with friends. The ambiance was nice and service excellent. The food was very good. The beef and Guinness pie was filled with beef. The fish and chips was almost too plentiful to finish and the beef rib succulent. We had a lovely meal in a lovely pub with lovely staff

Went for lunch 21 April26 to celebrate my wife's birthday - amazing salad, goats cheese tasty, salad very fresh and a wide mix of nuts and berries - one of the best salads we have had in years. Excellent service -present but not in your face. It was so good I am having lunch with a friend next week on 1 May

Family run, situated in a great location for a walk along the high street and/or the River Thames. We initially visited to celebrate a birthday but it’s now our go to place locally and our 4th visit yesterday. Always made to feel welcome, the team are attentive, courteous and informative about the food and drinks. The food is fresh, homemade and delicious, arriving hot and in timely fashion. The decor is pleasant and the pub is immaculate with different areas so no matter how busy it is, it feels private and relaxed. Highly recommend and definitely going back. We recently came for Sunday lunch, having eaten here many times over the last few years. The food is always very good quality and really tasty, also a generous quantity. The staff are very friendly and helpful, providing efficient service. The pub is a pleasant place, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We usually incorporate a pleasant walk by the river too. My daughter loves the fish and chips. The rest of the family love the Sunday roasts. Included is a generous variety of delicious vegetables including cauliflower cheese- you often have to pay extra for this. Not to mention a sizeable Yorkshire pudding. We have also enjoyed some delicious lunches on weekdays too. With lots of good pubs in the area, we rate this one as one of the best for food.

Visited over the weekend on Sat evening. The atmosphere in the pub was 'buzzing' and busy. Food and service was excellent - served hot and generous portions. We will definitely be returning, well done :)

We visited on the 30th March, lunch with my Mum. The food was great, the service exceptional. We will definitely be back.

I visited The Crown twice in one week, 1st time Sunday Lunch which was great. Second time yesterday. The food was very very good, the best we've eaten locally for a long time. Staff were friendly and courteous.

Have eaten here twice and the food hit both times. Homemade. Warm. Big portions. You can tell the chefs put so much effort into these plates. Pure British country food. Home comforts. You honestly will be wanting more the minute you leave. Service is impeccable and the price is very fair for what you get. It’s become my favourite place for food now. I think I’ll become their new regular this year!

The pub is in a lovely location where you can walk the High Street and go down to the River Thames easily. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. All the vegetables were cooked perfectly and the waiter was attentive. WE had Sunday lunch and sat in an enclosed space so it was very private. Will definitely go again. Thankyou.

Went to the Crown after our long walk with the dogs - great walk and lovely scenic views. In the pub, everything was great! The staff was amazing at looking after us with our young child and big dogs! Food was great - had the we all had the Sunday roast and it was a meal set for a king! Definitely will be returning here.

Met with our family here for breakfast as a convenient half way stop. Ticked all the boxes. Great location, lovely pub, parking and dog friendly too. We had a fabulous breakfast seated by the roaring fire which was very welcome as it was a cold day. We had a lovely walk afterwards. The service was excellent too. Will definitely be coming back.

Fabulous, last minute decision to pop in for lunch. Generous portions and reasonable prices. AJ was fabulous and looked after all out needs. Will be back soon

Girls night dinner on a very wet evening but brightened by an evening at The Crown. Warm inside, great service, daily specials explained and the homemade food was absolutely delicious. The dessert menu was appealing but we were too full after the generous sized meal portions…… Thoroughly recommend!

We ate Sunday lunch at The Crown of Cookham yesterday. Danyal was our server and he delivered excellent service to my family and I. The quality of the Sundays roasts was great - complements to the chef.
