I visited The Crown twice in one week, 1st time Sunday Lunch which was great. Second time yesterday. The food was very very good, the best we've eaten locally for a long time. Staff were friendly and courteous.

The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadHave eaten here twice and the food hit both times. Homemade. Warm. Big portions. You can tell the chefs put so much effort into these plates. Pure British country food. Home comforts. You honestly will be wanting more the minute you leave. Service is impeccable and the price is very fair for what you get. It’s become my favourite place for food now. I think I’ll become their new regular this year!
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadThe pub is in a lovely location where you can walk the High Street and go down to the River Thames easily. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. All the vegetables were cooked perfectly and the waiter was attentive. WE had Sunday lunch and sat in an enclosed space so it was very private. Will definitely go again. Thankyou.
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadGreat food and welcoming staff team. Very comfortable restaurant and bar. Will viist again.
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadWent to the Crown after our long walk with the dogs - great walk and lovely scenic views. In the pub, everything was great! The staff was amazing at looking after us with our young child and big dogs! Food was great - had the we all had the Sunday roast and it was a meal set for a king! Definitely will be returning here.
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadMet with our family here for breakfast as a convenient half way stop. Ticked all the boxes. Great location, lovely pub, parking and dog friendly too. We had a fabulous breakfast seated by the roaring fire which was very welcome as it was a cold day. We had a lovely walk afterwards. The service was excellent too. Will definitely be coming back.
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadFabulous, last minute decision to pop in for lunch. Generous portions and reasonable prices. AJ was fabulous and looked after all out needs. Will be back soon
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadGirls night dinner on a very wet evening but brightened by an evening at The Crown. Warm inside, great service, daily specials explained and the homemade food was absolutely delicious. The dessert menu was appealing but we were too full after the generous sized meal portions…… Thoroughly recommend!
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadWe ate Sunday lunch at The Crown of Cookham yesterday. Danyal was our server and he delivered excellent service to my family and I. The quality of the Sundays roasts was great - complements to the chef.
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadWe went for a birthday breakfast. The food was fantastic as were the portions. Very good service and so looked after thank you
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadWe had a very nice lunch on Wednesday at The Crown ... it was a horrible drizzly grey day however when we walked into the pub the welcome was beautiful. There was an open fire and it was light and bright and we were met by a lovely young man He was extremely helpful with the menu and we enjoyed the experience and will be back on a nicer day A lot of food! Tasty and well presented. We shared the pie of the day (steak & ale) which was delicious
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadWarm atmosphere, with efficient, flexible service. Prices good. Starters (pork belly, prawns) excellent Mains - pie, sausages, beef short rib themselves good with excellent vegetables. Unfortunately the gloopy, overthick, instant gravy-type ubiquitous sauce applied the meals somewhat.
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadA superb Sunday roast – best in the area! We ordered the sharing platter with beef and lamb, and couldn’t fault it – everything was totally delicious, and fab service and presentation too. Thankyou! Also thanks to the FOH staff who kindly accommodated us (and my 8.5-month pregnant bump) on a quiet table as requested. We’re looking forward to returning for another roastie already!
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadPerfect Sunday lunch for my daughters birthday. Fabulous roasts and excellent service
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadAbsolutely amazing food. From the starters right the way to desert. Sunday roast is the best iv ever had anywhere. The meat absolutely delicious. We had three desserts to share between five of us and oh my god. Sooooo good especially the sticky toffee pudding, was so light and fluffy it was mind blowing.
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadWe had roasts yesterday and all 4 of us were really impressed with the taste and portions! Lovely desserts of waffles and banoffee cheesecake. Really friendly staff who couldn’t do enough . V happy with the cost too, we will definitely be back!
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadWe stay at Odney as we’re JL partners however we ALWAYS dine at the Crown whatever the season. Easy booking and always a warm welcome. The restaurant has little nooks and rooms so you’re never short for space The food is so well presented, tasty, never a long wait. The kitchen is open and you can see how the food looks coming out. This can be a problem if you see a meal come out & you’ve ordered something different! Food envy. Having said that whether it’s the fish n chips, Cumberland sausages or chicken & thyme burger which we ordered the food is super We had a well priced bottle of pinot blush & the festive cheesecake for dessert. Thank goodness we had a little walk back to the hotel as we were very well fed Thank you to the Crown for never disappointing us.
