We stay at Odney as we’re JL partners however we ALWAYS dine at the Crown whatever the season. Easy booking and always a warm welcome. The restaurant has little nooks and rooms so you’re never short for space The food is so well presented, tasty, never a long wait. The kitchen is open and you can see how the food looks coming out. This can be a problem if you see a meal come out & you’ve ordered something different! Food envy. Having said that whether it’s the fish n chips, Cumberland sausages or chicken & thyme burger which we ordered the food is super We had a well priced bottle of pinot blush & the festive cheesecake for dessert. Thank goodness we had a little walk back to the hotel as we were very well fed Thank you to the Crown for never disappointing us.

Never disappointed here, staff are always welcoming, everything is clean and tidy and the food is amazing.

Great service and food. Love the refurbishment, we felt most welcome and will absolutely eat here again.

Once again we enjoyed the Sunday Roast, I had pork belly and it was delicious. Service was great. I was wanting to purchase a £100 gift voucher as a Christmas gift only to find out they don’t sell them?!!!! Please introduce vouchers/gift cards! As I’m sure many people would love to give/send a voucher to family and friends.

Staff pleasant and attentive. Food was filling and very nice . A nice dining experience.

We ordered the sharing platter to start and both had the pie of the day, which was steak and ale pie. The pie was excellent and had lots of veg and chips. I only just managed to finish mine. A really excellent meal.

A lovely modern interior, comfortable and cosy. The team are very friendly and professional. It was great to have a view of the kitchens and to see so many young chefs working there. The menu was varied and imaginative. I had the mushroom, truffle and rocket pesto tagliatelle, which was vegan and delicious. It was so good I went back with my husband two nights later and had the same again. My husband had the pie of the day, which was ham hock and chicken and equally delicious I am pleased to say. It was a generous pie, with mash and vegetables and my husband only just managed to finish his plate. He usually moans about portion size, but not at this restaurant! We look forward to visiting again.

Lovely food! Friendly staff, good service! If you want more than just pub grub in Cookham then this is the place to come. Toast yourself in the warm and snug fireside chairs with real ale in your hand or a lovely glass of Shiraz! Then enjoy the ambience of the restaurant! The Chef does not disappoint! Perfectly Cooked Rib Steak or perhaps a Homemade pie really Scrumptious

The food at this pub is amazing! There were 4 of us and we had a great experience. The men had the chicken pies, which are huge and full to the brim! The ladies had scampi & the steak frites, which were also delicious, well cooked & beautifully presented. The hummus starter would definitely serve 2 people! The halloumi looked amazing too. The staff were very attentive & friendly. (Just one negative. We had to move table twice because the door at the back of the pub is broken at the bottom and it feels very cold & draughty, especially in this cold weather, hence 3.5/5 for atmosphere. Please fix the door or hang some heavy curtains over it. You may be losing diners due to this.)

From calling for a table and parking to service, food choice, everything was fabulous. Food was exceptional. This was our second visit and is now a firm favourite. Wine was delicious and coffee was made perfectly.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast Thais past Sunday. Everything was very tasty and portions very large. We also had the crumble of the day and a sticky toffee and both very delicious. Very happy to recommend the Crown in Cookham.

Can’t recommend this place enough, really great food at a decent price. Very nice pub in a lovely location, with really friendly service. It’s not often nowadays to have such good food and not feel like you’ve had open wallet surgery.

Really impressed by the food. The pub was busy and there was only a handful of staff covering but somehow they found the time to make us welcome, seat us, get us drinks and take our order. When the food came it was delicious (pie of the day and tagliatelle), hot and generously portioned. We both commented that the kitchen were doing a great job.

One of the best roasts around, we were a table of 14 and all the food orders were correct, came out together, all hot and very tasty, lovely friendly staff and a gorgeous pub and setting. Thank you

The service here is always friendly and efficient. It's a cosy, clean pub. The food is delicious, especially the Sunday roasts. The meat is good quality, plentiful and really well cooked. There is a wide variety of delicious vegetables, including cauliflower cheese, mashed swede and carrots. There is a very big Yorkshire pudding and some nice roast potatoes. We all have healthy appetites but there was plenty of food to make us feel full. We have tried many roasts in the local area but this was one of the best. Highly recommended.

Lovely food as always with great staff. Our favourite place for Sunday lunch.
