very nice food

BAD customer service.....................

The food here is wonderful - delicious, freshly cooked, generously portioned, spicy and flavoursome without being hot and overpowering. The restaurant is small and usually very busy, but the service doesn't suffer and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The prices are very reasonable. Very highly recommended!

On 28th November we held my husbands 50th birthday party at The Oak. We had pig roast with accompanying salads, entertainment (live soul singer) and fireworks. My family all stayed in the rooms with a hearty breakfast the next morning. The evening was a terrific success, everything ran really smoothly and we have been inundated with thanks you cards. this is just the best curry house in cov it is always spot on hi class and fun take your own beer .take home your curry if you do not eat it all brill see you there. martin.

I like the Black Boy, I have special needs, and every time I go the staff always look after me. I like to sit next to the window and look out onto the canal, I like canals. The food is very nice and the gravy on the chill con carne is especially good. The price of the food is very good. I am not allowed alcohol any more but the drinks are good value, they make me a big glass of lime squash for 25p Will be going back shortly I hope Please

The new look horse & Jockey WOW is all I can say

i have been today there ;) i did eat masala chips and masala fish starter and my meal was king prawn jalfrezi with the garlic nan!! everything was to perfection... Waiters were very good. And very friendly atmosphere! I will come back with my friends. We were enjoy!!

I first went to Akrams to celebrate in niecez 18th and my sons 15th Birthday. There was a party of11 of us and our table was booked in advance with no problems and a very friendly manner. Whilst we were there the service was fantastic the staff couldn't do enough and made us feel completely at at home and i was delighted with the fact that all members of my family were catered for including my 9 yr old niece. The food was delicious served altogether. As a result of this we have returned to this restaurant with the children as they have a menu specifically for them. Outstanding service brilliant food great value, this is now our favourite Indian Restaurant 10/10 highly recommended!!!***

This is the best chip shop in Birmingham if you ask my opinion! The fish is gorgeous, with crispy golden batter, the chips made from bits of Heaven itself! This is well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed

Way back in the 1960's Tony, as I knew him by, started this Fish & Chip shop. The food was superb in those days, the fresh roe was to die for. His son meets all his fathers expectations and the only regret I have is that I am moving away from the area. However, I will be visiting and I WILL be having another meal from there. Thank you for forty + years of absolutely wonderful food. The battered mushrooms . . . awwww!!! I could go on forever :)

I reommend this place if you fancy authentic south indian type Dosa or Idli etc. ...The good thing is that it is prepared in front of you and you can not get more fresh than that ...and quality if quite consistent each time I go...So there you go ...Taste and Decide either to agree or disagree.....I think the food is spot on and damn good value....Aaran Walia.
