I WAS CYNICAL PRIOR TO TRYING THIS PLACE CALLED SHOBHA'S SINCE THE DISHES WERE PRETTY CHEAP ...BUT TO MY SURPRISE , MY PALATE CONFIRMED THE FRESHNESS AND THE GOOD TASTE AFFORDED BY COMPARATIVELY GOOD PRICE/VALUE. verdict : real good fresh tasting food , if you are in a hurry and fancy quick bite , there is no other place in Birmingham. ha ha ha....

What can i tell??? Indian food from there really good!!!!!!! Everybody go to Channis Indian Restaurant because really really brilliant there!!!! And food... Wow!!!!!!! Curry??? Wow!!!!!!!! chicken??? Restaurant Channis.. I have been there last night... I am surprised -positive!!! Beautiful!!! Food- the best, magic taste!!! !!! This is first restaurant where i have been where taste food is not like a plastic!!! Very cheap- shocked because food really, really savory, The best indian food whenever i did eat before!!! I use to be only in the really posh restaurants (first time i have been in the modest but so clean and cosy)- but i can tell now that is not matter restaurant or some places is looking posh or no because taste food from Channis restaurant is so posh, posh and posh!!! So good!!! So amazing!!! I have fallen in love with this restaurant from first savor !!! I am sure i will be here again, again, again, again, again, again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 100000 % Thank you for opening eyes me!!! And for showing good savor !!!

The best restaurant in Birmingham!!! This restaurant is different to most other Indian restaurants - the choice is better and the food tastier!!! The prices are very reasonable and the quality of food and the cooking are fabulous...Excellent Indian cuisine!!!You can feel here as at home. Fantastic atmosphere. Wonderful service. Magical, marvellous manager- chef cook!!! Service Wonderful. I would recommend this Indian restaurant to everyone! Definitely the best I've been to in the West Midlands. Good choice of dishes and the food was fabulous! ...After few weeks i will go to my country and i will hanker too Channis!!! Definitely!!! But i will come back here specially for one day and first what i am going to do is go to my Channis- because i would love try again This ethereal, original, unique (unrepeatable) savor cuury what is done with huge experience!!! There is sole in kind curry - specially taste... I can not explain to you because taste is amazing magical... What you should do guys, then??? Channis restaurant... I have been to many places- restaurants in Birmingham, but this one has me coming back again, again and again!!!! Definitely!!! The best restaurant in Birmingham!!! Friendly, relaxed, really good atmosphere... Service was a good... Guaranteed excellent food in this restaurant... The food tastes brilliant, amazing, fantastic!!!! Really amazing taste!!! If you want to encounter the Birmingham curry experience, this is one of the best places to visit... ...As Meg Ryan says in When Harry Met Sally.... YES, YES, YES.... OH GOD....YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS. The food is delicious thanks to a combination of top quality ingredients and amazing preparation.

We visit the Garden House at least once a week and always find the food & service to be outstanding. We have a great choice from the menu and blackboards specials and a wide selection of real ales are always on. Keep up the good work.

i love the restaurant and would recommend it to any fan of good food, However, make sure you know how to use sign language, as some members of the staff do not speak English :p

The food at the Golden coin cafe was lovely, and well priced...the staff were friendly and I will definitely eat there again when im in the area.

i had a meal there last week,the food was not so bad but the service was terrible...waiters need to smile more..1 of them could hardly speak the lingo....

Very nice site!

I went to Pizza by Goli with 2 friends and ordered a fillet steak. I was served a scrag end buried in a tomato based sauce. When I complained to staff the chef came to the table and apologised - 'he didn't notice that it wasn't a fillet when he removed it from the fridge'. Unforgivable - meal removed from the bill.

We have tried every Indian restaurant in Sheldon and Yardley and the Varsha is the best by miles. Friends we have taken there have also adopted the Varsha as their favourite too. We continue to use the varsha at least once every week, come rain or shine!

My wife and I visited the Brades for the first time since it was refurbished. The food was fantastic, the rock band were not too loud yet very good and Sam the landlord was the perfect host. This pub had a reputation for being a druggie pub and a trouble spot, but I can assure anyone wanting to visit it now that Sam has cleaned it up perfectly. He doesn't even allow swearing. We will be back as regulars now. Well done Sam and Pauline. Jeff.
