we recently visited on a recommendation from a colleague (thanks Blakey)and had a great time. Food was excellent made all the better as it was such good value, this being important as I'm not known for flashing the cash. Anyway we have booked for Christmas and look forward to much of the same value. Thanks to all the staff (any chance of a discount?)

This place was totally awesome, I went there with a couple friends. I can’t believe we found a total gem after a great night out there is nothing like so quality food. I really enjoyed the mouth-watering food…I loved the Stuffed Pepper I had for starters…so yummy and what can say about this dish Sathkore gosht so tasty, there friendly waiter recommend this dish…totally amazed and we can t forget the lightest naan breads i’ve ever tasted. I am totally hooked with this place. Definitely going back again.

Athens is a fantastic restaurant the food was outstanding i don't know what say cause it was so nice the entertainment was amazing the belly dancer was great even i had a go the Greek and Italian food was phenomenal the service was outstanding and so were the waiters the smashing plates was so good i smashed 20 of them and i felt good i stayed all night until early hours i had the best night ever u have got to go there

The boil in the bag capital of the pub world. Service very quick due to this method of cooking so would recommend it for those with a busy life style. Wicked.

Great place for any fan of Middle Eastern food, especially Iranian food. Iraqis love this place as it is closer to their food than Lebanese restaurants. The dough drink is superb (Salty/Soury Yogurty drink). Downside, No Alcohol. Which discourages many of my English friends from attending. Having said that, it serves the best Iranian food compared to other Iranian restaurants I've been in.

Treating my mother to an evening out, we chose this venue above the other establishments on St Paul’s Square. We were seated very quickly; our order taken (19:37); drinks and garlic bread arrived promptly but after 20 minutes our main course still hadn't arrived. When I finally managed to catch the attention of one of the waiters, he advised that the meal was on the way; it arrived at 20:30. By this point, we were fed up of waiting so left, only paying for our drinks. The manager was very apologetic but I was really disappointed. I'd eaten here before, albeit some years ago, and really enjoyed the experience. But I WILL NOT be dining here again.

My friends & I have been going to Sundarbon for about 2 years & have enjoyed both the food & the ambiance. That is until recently. On the last two occasions, the owner/manager has been verbally rude to us, demanding we leave as soon as we finished our main courses. We were not asked whether we wanted anything else, just handed the bill & told to vacate the table. Last week, within an hour of arriving, we'd finished our main courses & were being told to leave. There were a number of adjacent tables, which were not given this treatment. The difference? We are a party of 3 women. The other tables all had at least one man in attendance. We were not displaying any anti-social behaviour. A clear case of sexual discrimination. We will not be returning.

We live in the south now but when ever the chance arises we go back home to Birmingham and head to Stirchley for a decent Balti. We went at 6pm on Saturday night, there was plenty of room to sit which was nice, as no crowds, also with the no smoking policy now it was even better. All the waiters were very smartly dressed and very polite, and extremely efficient. The place was very clean. We ordered a starter each, which were excellent. Then we ordered 2 Balti's, I have to say even though it was nice it was not the best one I have ever had, for me the Balti Bizzare has the edge on the balti's in Stirchley. Over all a very good meal, and the Naan bread was very nice and very large.

best deals in Birmingham the mini meals are 99p but the quality is outstanding no cheap products because price is cheap it was great

whats going on with quality of fish the batter looked really dark and the staff were very stroppy but pedro seemed happy, but the food just wasn't up to scratch. price was too high

first visit to duet after lots of recommendations was not disappointed staff very good food lovely me and the wife will eat there again

This restaurant makes for a Great evenings dining and food experience without being too costly .! Ie Starters, main, sweet, plus drinks, a decent bottle of Wine and Irish coffee can be enjoyed for about 25 pounds a head.... The choice of menu and quality of food preparation is second to none here. Having sampled many of the dishes, both Curry's, baltis , and the Tandoori I cannot find any fault... The ambiance is fine, and its a pleasantly modern styled interior .... The staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful, and take time to explain the dishes if you need to ask . The wine list is more than adequate and offers plenty of choice for the discerning palette . From the moment you arrive the management, and staff make you feel welcome and aim to please on all levels . As a local dining out experience you cant fault it.... The prices are reasonable, and the menu varied, to suit all tastes... Compliments to the manager and staff for making a regular dining experience so pleasurable.. We go there quite often and will continue to do so in the future , Its Excellent ! .

I have decided to add one to try and repay years of tasty and reliable cooking. We often go there and also often get takeaways from them. The restaurant is a very up market an stylish from inside and when looking at the menu you feel a like a child in a sweet shop an your spoilt for choice. The food is always very good and they will usually cook variations if you ask. I would especially recommend their vegetarian special, which we had last time and it was better than any I've had elsewhere. NOT swimming in oil or bits of burnt garlic like many places but savory and spicy with a nice, thick texture. The naans are always done how I like them to, lightly browned without being burnt with excellent delicious fillings of peshwari and honey spread on the top. The clientele are always very cheery people who don’t be shouting and arguing like other places, the staff are very helpful an are not in your face like some place an the boss is very friendly, got only 1 thing to say ”Royal Watan- I salute you!”
