Good wine, good food, good service, a brilliant all rounder.
Michael Wan’s Mandarin – Blackpooli am a regular at this pub for nearly 15yrs .the couple that run it now are the best it has ever been. they run a tight ship, but are always friendly the staff are well trained smart and very nice. i have never been in a pub so clean and well kept. it is nice that the landlady makes time to try and speak to all, and is not afraid to clean tables and pour pints
Mere Park Hotel – BlackpoolFood was fantastic, all so fresh and tasty. We had the full fish and were surprised when it arrives as it was a full seabass - without the inflated price tag. We are big fish fans and do not mind travelling to get to a good restaurant - now we don't have to. The wine wasa perfect temperature and a very nice sauvignon blanc which turned out to be the house wine @ £9 something a bottle! Great service, lovely genuine people. It's not in the best location but they have certainly made the most of the restaurant, if it was in a great location though you'd probably be paying an absolute fortune so prefer it the way it is.
Sabai Sabai Thai Restaurant – Blackpoolfood good to so so, I'm not saying this place is good but it can be all it needs is a bit of personality
Babylon – BlackpoolThanks ricci ,we all had a fantastic meal at Toast Cafe & Bar Grill for Tracy's birthday and the wine was lovely too, i recommend your restaurant to everybody.its fab and shall be eating here again very soon.your staff are great and very nice ,also helpful
Toast Cafe Bar and Grill Restaurant – BlackpoolI found the Ocean Palace by mistake 15 years ago. Have never been anywhere since. The food is always superb and the Kye (the owner) is always ready to greet us along with his staff to make sure we always have a fantastic night. The food is top quality.
Ocean Palace – BlackpoolMyself, husband, Daughter and friend visited Harry Ramsdens restaurant October 2008 had never been before but was really looking forward to going waited about half and hour before being seated as there were many tables vacant but had not been cleared or cleaned. The meal was not very nice We all felt disappointed, it was cold and greasy and just slopped on the plate it arrived about 35 minutes after ordering.
Harry Ramsdens – BlackpoolBeen going here for over 5 yrs. Staff are superb and the food is first class. The buffet food tastes just as fresh and nice as ordering from the main menu (how many Chinese buffets can you say that about!). If you decide to give it a try I assure you will go back again and again
Treasure City Chinese Restaurant – Blackpoolgreat chip shop, food was very well prepared and i would love to revisit this place with a lovely man.
Grasmere, The – BlackpoolDon't bother!
Waverley Cafe – BlackpoolThis Italian used to be on Highfield Road in South Shore and recently moved to the old Booths supermarket on Lytham Road. I was warned before I went that they had basically moved the shelves out and the tables in and not a lot else so I was expecting the worst décor-wise. It wasn’t THAT bad and in fact the spaciousness was a pleasant change from the usual high street restaurant that is squeezed into an oblong box. But it is a bit odd having bare girders on the ceiling and the kitchen and washing-up area just plopped at one end for all to see. What blew me away though was the menu. This is the kind of retro dining that used to be popular 20 years ago with dishes like prawn cocktail, chicken a la crème, tournedos rossini and steak diane (as well as pizzas/pastas etc). You just don’t see this stuff on menus any more and I honestly think they should market themselves on this basis as it does make them stand out from the crowd. The food was pretty good too and given that it was rammed on the Sunday night after Valentine’s they are clearly doing something right here. But retro, I’m afraid, is not acceptable with the wine list. I can’t remember how long it is since the last time I saw a restaurant list with no vintage year listed and no producer (just generic Cotes Du Rhone etc) and my worst fears were confirmed as the Frascati and Chianti we had were dire. But as long as you don’t go here expecting some kind of fine dining experience you may be pleasantly surprised and it is undoubtedly value for money.
San Marcos – BlackpoolI am a local in Blackpool and a regular customer of Wah Wah's. I absolutely love their fine thai cuisine, excellent value for money, relaxed atmosphere and superb customer service that all make the visit to Wah Wah's a very enjoyable and pleasant experience. A+++
Wah Wahs – BlackpoolIt is now our fourth year coming here for birthdays and anniversaries with friends.Just as good as it was originally.Service and food excellent, ambience very comfortable, staff very obliging.
Treasure City Chinese Restaurant – BlackpoolWent to the Mayflower on Valentines evening. The food was good but the service very very poor. The food came before the plates. There was a long wait between courses. The drinks ordered were wrong. The manager was the busiest member of staff, running round like an headless chicken, unfortunately he also smelt strongly of B.O. I would not recommend the restaurant on my visit. I should have complained at the time. Other couples also looked unhappy at the service
Easy East – BlackpoolBeautiful place to eat! Style and decor top class. Food fab! Best Indian restaurant in Blackpool.
Leeraj Indian Cuisine – BlackpoolI would highly recommend the food here. I travel Thailand and this is as close to authentic as you could wish for (and the portions are more than generous). Other Thai restaurants in town are charging inflated prices, but not here. Lovely food at the right price, thanks
Sabai Sabai Thai Restaurant – BlackpoolWe had a great meal at san marcos new location (the old booths on lytham rd) Would fully recommend this place. A fantastic meal with a fantastic price tag A1+ will be going again soon
San Marcos – BlackpoolI visited G Casino on Saturday 31 January 2009. We were celebrating my sister's 40th birthday. What a fab night! 3 course meal, glass of bubbly, £10 to play on the tables and tuition before we were let loose on the tables. £25 each for all that! Unbelievable. Superb food. The staff had decorated the table with balloons & table confetti. There was live entertainment in the bar later on which was also excellent. First class attention to detail from booking to leaving. They've even got ' car jockeys ' that will go & fetch your car!
