The Cottage – Blackpoolmy uncle's number one chinese takeaway that i use to work for Tony Lam, clean and fresh and people are friendly and it is cheap and the food is delicious, my favorite is the duck in pancakes and crispy seaweed...oh lovely.
Lytham House Chinese TakeAway – BlackpoolWe went for a meal last night - SUPERB!!!!! The food was lovely (we had scallops & seared beef, chicken ceasar salad, suckling pig) and although not a huge menu, it was difficult to choose from such a great selection!!! By the time we'd had starter and main course, we only had room left for coffee, but the sweet menu looked very nice too. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the service was just right - not too slow, or being rushed. We cant wait to go again, and would definitely recommend Kwizeen to anyone!!!!!
Kwizeen Bistro – BlackpoolWent to the Ghurka for the first time after reading reviews on this website. This is a brilliant little restaurant and it really stood out as something different for the area. The buffet is eat all you can and has a great selection of Chinese, Indian, Oriental and there's also loads of starters too. Go there!
Gurkha Hotel, Restaurant and Bar – BlackpoolThis is a great little takeaway near Poulton. I've been going for years! The best thing on the menu is the Ribs with Salt & Pepper with Garlic..I don't know where they get them from but they are soo meaty. Well done Furamar keep up the good work.
Furamar, The – BlackpoolWent to the Outside Inn Blackpool for a meal last Friday lunchtime (30th May 2008) We have just moved into an office in the Business Park next to the pub, and this was going to be a regular lunchtime dining venue for us...not anymore!! To start with service was slow, and even though it is pretty obvious that most people in there were office workers on a lunch 'hour'....there seemed no hurry to get your order, or bring out your food and drinks. But the main problem was that I ordered a vegetarian lasagne off the specials board, when this finally arrived, about half an hour after ordering, I has horrified to discover it was a meat lasagne. After pointing this to the waitress, she offered me another veggie lasagne. I declined this offer as I was due back in work and not feeling hungry anymore, but she insisted it "will only take 2 minutes to heat up." Funny that as the original order took half an hour to come out. I really wasn't hungry anymore but in the end I agreed to get a quick salad. Everyone else finished their meal and my salad still hadn't arrived 15 minutes later, and I was feeling ill so I went out to get some fresh air. A couple of minutes later one of my group came out and told me not to bother going back in as the waitress just bought me out a Chicken salad!! Fair enough I can understand the mix up with the lasagne was a genuine mistake, but then to give a chicken salad to a veggie was an insult to me and deeply offensive to me and my beliefs. To make matters even worse when the rest of my group tried to settle the bill they were given a discount of a couple of pounds only. Only after some negotiation did they get a £5 reduction on the total bill and no real apology. Even though I was the only veggie in the group, everyone who I was with was shocked about the customer service we received and the lack of knowledge from restaurant staff about my vegetarian dietary requirements. Which is something everyone working in the catering trade should be aware of.
Plum Tree Farm – BlackpoolMy husband and I love this lovely little restaurant, best thing that happened to Highfield Road. We regularly go there and would recommend it to anyone. The Tournados Rossini is great (we nearly always have that). Excellent value for money - both the wine and the food.
San Marcos – Blackpoolfound this little cafe on last day of our holiday after traipsing round all week looking for a decent meal. enjoyed lunch so much we returned that evening for dinner. Food excellent, prices really reasonable and staff really friendly. We will definitely be returning as we have family in the area.
Tiggy Winkles Of Bond Street – BlackpoolThis is a great takeaway, it's half the price of dominos and the pizzas are twice as big. Choose From kebabs, fish n chips or Italian in the restaurant. It is a great atmosphere and i loved it i recommend it anyday. Hands Down!
Al Capones – BlackpoolJust had my food delivered and what a disappointment. Let's start with the delivery guy; scruffy looking (please god it wasn't him that prepared the food). It was raining so the chips at the top of the bag were soaked wet through and they've changed! There now the cheapy drenched in fat ones that look like they were cooked last night then reheated. The chicken balls with rice in a box, not bad what can you expect. To finish off I ordered prawn skewars, looked as if someone had poohed on them and very tough to eat. Presentation leaves alot to be desired! What a waste of a tenner, knew dominos was the better choice!
Wok Wow – BlackpoolAFTER EATING TWICE IN CLEVELYS BRANCH I WAS ABSOLOUTELY APPALLED AFTER HAVING COMPLAINED TWICE ABOUT THE FOOD. FIRST TIME MISTAKE WAS ATROCIOUS- THE STEAK WAS RAW YET THE DESERT WAS FANTASTIC AND THE SECOND TIME RETURNED WITH MY CHILDREN. I ORDERED 5 CHOCOLATE BORWINIES, MY DESERT HAD DATES IN IT. OBVIOUSLY STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING, AFTER COMPLAINING WE WERE TOLD TO SHUT UP AND IT WAS CHOCOLATE BROWNIE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TO THE WEEK BEFORE. ON LEAVING, I WAS GLARED AT BY THE CHEF AND WAS MADE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT IN THAT RESTAURANT AGAIN WE WERE DISGUSTED!!!!! IT WAS ABSOLOUTELY APPALLING,
West Coast Rock Cafe – BlackpoolThis I am sad to say is not a recommendation but a complaint. We recently visited the Take Away section of Harry Ramsdens in Blackpool and ordered one haddock. The fish we were given was certainly not haddock. We complained and staff apologised and gave us another fish that was exactly the same. We are big fans of Harry Ramsden and frequently go to Guiseley near where we live. We were really disappointed with the fish we could not eat it it was watery looking and mostly batter and we could not eat it. We had paid £3.20 approx and there was no offer of getting our money back. Staff were most offhand and we were very annoyed at the idea that people are being conned into paying for haddock and receiving something much more inferior.
Harry Ramsdens – BlackpoolThis has the best chicken curry in the world and beef mmmm no gristle the meat melts in your mouth delicious
Gulshan Tandoori Takeaway – BlackpoolWhat an absolute disgrace. I was treated appalingly on my visit to this pub on 26.4.08. I am from Liverpool and I was on a day out with my family, and I was racially aused by the manager and his wife! i was called a scouse B***ARD, and I would not reccoment this pub if it were the last place in Blackpool to eat!
Belle Vue – BlackpoolI went for my birthday this year, and the service, menu and the atmosphere in the place was all very comfortable and welcoming, with plenty of choice in foods. The staff make you feel very welcome, and they set all my birthday celebrations off to a tee, lovely place.
West Coast Rock Cafe – BlackpoolOn two consecutive nights we had excellent meals at Kwizeen Restaurant whilst staying in Blackpool for the week-end. The only dis-appointment was that they refused to give us one glass of Tap Water, despite the fact that the four of us had two bottles of wine and a large bottle of Sparkling water at each meal.
Kwizeen Bistro – BlackpoolI was advised to eat here by a friend, and now only use John's Golden Palace, even when I moved further away, I have no problem driving to pick up my meal as its worth it every time. We always get a warm welcome and the food is top notch. This place is A1
Golden Palace – BlackpoolHaving read the other recommendations all I can say is I concur, having visited Blackpool for a number of years and passed by here, (being on my own I rarely went for a meal)My partner and I were very pleased at the quality and taste of the food. We will be back
